Akin Bits: April 2013
http://babyakin.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
A bit of fun, a bit of spunk, a bit of laughter, and a lot of love. Monday, April 8, 2013. Camping at Red Top Mountain 2013. My blogging as of late has no organizational sense except which pictures I feel like editing first. I haven't even blogged about Christmas! My aspiration for an extended family camping trip became reality last week. We were supposed to leave a day earlier, but bad weather (rain ALL day and in the 40s, no thank you! Amy, Matthan, and Tim. Titus enjoying a biscuit. Another highlight ...

A bit of fun, a bit of spunk, a bit of laughter, and a lot of love. Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Just imagine how much cooler I'll be in summer.". Making mud pies, a new pasttime. Maddox and I had a lunch date. Apparently this is how he takes a selfie. Shopped to update Daddy's wardrobe. They were troopers! Made friends at VBS. Watched our friends, Lucas and Shelley, get married. Played drums, drums, and more drums, as well as the couch and inner tube ("his cymbal" he told me). Went hiking with doggies.

Snapshots of the Sanders: September 2014

Snapshots of the Sanders. Monday, September 1, 2014. Living Room and Hall Makeover. Let me start by saying that I am so thankful for a husband who gives me time for me and time to do things I love…like painting the house! I suppose it helps that he loathes painting and the mess that comes along. So, he'd rather pack up the kids and hit the road than hang around for the excitement. :). Posted by The Sanders. Snapshots of the Sanders. Friday, July 18, 2014. Well, this post is certainly overdue (ha, pun intended), but as one can imagine, my life has suddenly become a bit more full. Here is the story of Emery's birth:. But they were requesting I come in later (9-10pm). Bummer! After the movie, we headed to the hospital and arrived there about 10:15pm. The hospital had not been exaggerating their influx of pregnant mommas! I was definitely disappointed. However, my nurse was very optimistic stating that Cerv...

Akin Bits: November 2013
http://babyakin.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
A bit of fun, a bit of spunk, a bit of laughter, and a lot of love. Friday, November 29, 2013. O Christmas Tree, the kindness of a stranger, and one sick kid. Time for the annual let's-go-get-a-Christmas tree! We always go to Waffle House afterwards ( Davey does not break tradition). But seeing that it was lunchtime, we made the smart parenting choice to go before. At the Waffle House, she decided she wanted hot chocolate to warm up, so we obliged, splitting it with brother. While picking out the tree, t...

Snapshots of the Sanders. Tuesday, November 6, 2012. I guess you might notice by now that I'm on a writing spree to share the exciting events of this past month. :) Things sure are busy around here with two VERY mobile and active children! Anyhow, I try to make the most of the few precious hours I have to myself each week while Janna is at preschool and Luke is napping (thankfully they coincide). Today, I am able to get a couple posts written. Time for the face. Luke checking out Janna's face. We spent t...

A bit of fun, a bit of spunk, a bit of laughter, and a lot of love. Monday, May 5, 2014. Maddox's First Fish at Lake Sinclair. Not sure where he got the idea (maybe from Lailey), but in the few weeks prior to our trip to Lake Sinclair, Maddox has been chatting about "fishin' with Granddaddy" and acting quite excited about it. Equipped with a new Spiderman fishing pole, thanks to Grammy and Granddaddy, he got to reel in his first catch. Lailey learning to bait her own hook. We tried for a family photo.

Akin Bits: December 2013
http://babyakin.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
A bit of fun, a bit of spunk, a bit of laughter, and a lot of love. Thursday, December 26, 2013. Speaking of kids, I don't know how Christmas could be any more fun than with a 4-yo and 2-yo! Oh wait, add in the hubs who loves Christmas and traditions just about as much as they do, and it's always a blast. On Christmas morning, after our fun time opening gifts, Grandpa came over for brunch. He also came with presents! This was actually from Maddox's birthday, but still he loves it. Getting the hang of it.

Snapshots of the Sanders. Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Baby Jesus We Love You.". This past Sunday, the Pre-K and Kindergarten kids sang a Christmas song in church. Janna has been looking forward to this Sunday for several weeks. One weekend she came home with a CD, lyrics, and motions. I told her that she was going to get to sing a Christmas song in church. She exclaimed, "On the BIG stage like you! Of Janna singing at church. :). On the BIG stage. Posted by The Sanders. The snow finally let up enough tha...

Snapshots of the Sanders. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Rise-n-shine and smell the breakfast prepared by Sasha! Mmmm, he made us fried eggs with tomatoes, fried up some ham, and mixed veggies. This was actually my favorite breakfast that Sasha provided. Tasty! Got ready (220V for the hair dryer was a powerful breeze! Didn't even seem like I had a diffuser on the end…but I did! The government supports the school somewhere in the range of 25-33%. School purpose in Russian. Kindergarten classroom [little desks].
