No no, jabir, you cannot get disillusioned right now or you will not finish college! So i need to get into this mode more often. and quit thinking about the bigger things, or at least suspend them for now. then maybe i will get nearly as much out of my academic terms than from my vacations. I've been neglecting this space for a while. so i think i will put up some of the stuff from my paper journal:. Awareness is the result of intellectual and experiential inquiry. Perhaps the biggest flaw is drawing a s...

shoreless reviews: October 2007
http://shoreless-reviews.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Reviews of Many Random Things. Monday, October 22, 2007. I'm A Cyborg, But That's OK by Park Chan-Wook. Who would've thought that the director of Oldboy. Would come out with a film that has joined my (very) short list of 'ROMANTIC FILMS THAT REALLY DON'T SUCK'? Starring Rain, no less. Anyway the premise of the film is very endearing, two mental patients fall in love. One thinks she's a cyborg, the other is convinced he can steal anything (including personality traits and abilities). This is totally mine.

shoreless reviews: August 2007
http://shoreless-reviews.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Reviews of Many Random Things. Thursday, August 9, 2007. The 2005 offering by Ju-on. Director Takashi Shimuzu, is one of those films where it's really hard to tell whether it's good or bad. On one hand, there's a great russian-doll-like storyline, amazingly atmospheric shots and the creepiest doll in the whole fucking world of movies. On the other hand, the pacing is sluggish, the narratives confusing and there are just too many great moments. Because of the lack of breadth in his direction. It gives...

innateness no excuseth - 幸福論
http://quaskx.livejournal.com/157100.html
Women in early modern england faced much discrimination by their society as through the prevailing gender order from which all prescriptions and proscriptions of life then derived. we see this, for instance, in statutes, religious instruction, and art revealing women in their daily lives as gossippers, whores, scolds, or plainly silly lesser-people. But why call it as such when it is much simpler to say it is in truth their nature? For where else would such prejudice obtain but from our birth's endowment?

Yo Yo Ma: Bonus Mission #2: Not a Game
http://bixqot.blogspot.com/2007/04/bonus-mission-2-not-game.html
It's For A Class Lar. Saturday, April 7, 2007. Bonus Mission #2: Not a Game. I have a confession to make –Second Life did not interest me in the least bit initially. I would have never known about its existence if I did not have to take the COM125 class. Actually, that in itself is a lie. I did know about Second Life before I took the COM125 class. In fact, I learnt about Second Life through a friend’s blog. Perhaps the sexual screen captures of Second Life she had posted in one entry. Real people are si...

shoreless reviews: July 2007
http://shoreless-reviews.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Reviews of Many Random Things. Sunday, July 15, 2007. I mean, one is supposed to get. at least. ten? At least more than it would trouble you to count anyway. I was quite offended, really. Maybe they had some kind of anchovy shortage in the stall but still, aren't I a regular? Anyway, it was because of this that I started eating. THIS. Uh oh What is that? You just keep eating! And you buy it again! My gut instinct tells me it's because. THE PLACE IS CALLED KOBAYASHI. Since everyone should watch Star Trek.
