Observations along the shoreline in Connecticut. Tuesday, July 26, 2011. I snapped this picture of a black swallowtail butterfly(Papilio polyxenes). Visiting my garden. Butterflys don't often visit. Its too bad. I love seeing them. I was lucky to have snapped a shot of this one. The twin fawns visit again. My husband was able to snap a picture from the bedroom through the screen. Take a look. Thursday, July 14, 2011. Bambi's in the backyard. To chew on. They were so cute and little. Bambis in the backyard.

Observations along the shoreline in Connecticut. Monday, May 25, 2009. Later that day he picked up the turtle and I haven't heard back from him about releasing the animal. I probably wasn't home when he decided to release her. I've posted a few pictures of my turtle friend. Thursday, May 7, 2009. Walking around my town. Observations along the shoreline in Connecticut. Saturday, June 25, 2011. This spring my family kept sighting a critter we hadn't seen before. A large furry rodent, with a stumpy but fuzzy tail. I'd seen animals like this before in PA where I grew up but they had rodent-like tails. This creature had a fuzzy tail about 4 inches long. Turns out it's a ground hog or woodchuck. Also known as a land beaver. Maybe he was out gloating about how he'd predicted an early spring in Punxsutawney? Today being a beaut...

I shot this photo. Saturday, April 18, 2009. The good weather is here. Today if must have been 70. I was outside all day yesterday and for a few hours today. It was so warm and summery; it was great.
