Innsbruck大学イオン物理研究所のスピンオフであるIonicon Analytik GmbHが製造するプロトン移動反応質量分析計 PTR-MS は、ヒドロニウムイオンH3O によるプロトン移動反応を利用した オンラインの化学イオン化質量分析計の一種で、種々の揮発性及び半揮発性有機物のリアルタイム測定に幅広く使用されます。 選択反応剤イオン化質量分析計 SRI-MS とは、 切換え可能一次イオン源オプション SRI/SRI を搭載したプロトン移動反応質量分析計の別称であり、一次イオンをH3O 以外にNO 及びO2 等に供用中、切換えて使用することで測定対象化学種の拡大が可能です。 非線形性が強い大気圧化学イオン化法 APCI 等と異なり、PTR-MS及びSRI-MSは絶対濃度測定法を採用しており、標準ガスの得られない物質であっても 30 程度 一次イオンがH3O の場合 の 不確かさの範囲内での定量が可能です。 しかもプロトン移動反応の場合、反応速度定数が有機物の種類にほとんど依存しません 典型値２ 10-9 cm3/s。 ユーティリティは電力のみで H3O 及びNO 場合 、可搬性を備えます。
