The Unknown Aviator: Low Cost Carriers (Hated or Loved?) and the 7E7/350
http://theunknownaviator.blogspot.com/2005/01/low-cost-carriers-hated-or-loved-and.html
The Sky is not the limit. The Sky is Home. Saturday, January 22, 2005. Low Cost Carriers (Hated or Loved? The 7E7 and A350 could probably fit in with LCCs who want to start offering cheap intercontinental flights on a large scale. LCCs to date have largely focused on short range routes. Any thoughts? Posted by The Unknown Aviator at 8:04 PM. Thanks for your comments Rajesh. Yes I agree with you that the A350 does appear to be a rather hasty offering in response to the 7E7. Boeing and the A380.

The Unknown Aviator: The Caspian Sea Monster
http://theunknownaviator.blogspot.com/2005/05/caspian-sea-monster.html
The Sky is not the limit. The Sky is Home. Wednesday, May 04, 2005. The Caspian Sea Monster. If you think the A380 is big and impressive read on. Try and imagine a flying machine powered by 10 jet engines (yes 10 jet engines) bigger than the A380, bigger than the Antonovs, bigger than every aircraft listed on my previous post flying at close to 350 mph just a few feet above water. Something out of a Flash Gordon comic book or an episode of the Thunderbirds perhaps? Nice post, yet again! Good topic. S...

The Unknown Aviator: Let me look at that loadsheet again
http://theunknownaviator.blogspot.com/2005/12/let-me-look-at-that-loadsheet-again.html
The Sky is not the limit. The Sky is Home. Friday, December 23, 2005. Let me look at that loadsheet again. Ever wondered what the world record is for the maximum number of passengers on a single flight? It is not a well known fact but the Israeli airline El Al and Australia's Qantas have an unusual connection. They have both held the above mentioned record. Both records were obtained under the most extraordinary of circumstances. Posted by The Unknown Aviator at 7:47 PM. Never knew tis before. Interestin...

The Unknown Aviator: Binge Drinking (Tupolev 144 and Concorde)
http://theunknownaviator.blogspot.com/2005/01/binge-drinking-tupolev-144-and.html
The Sky is not the limit. The Sky is Home. Friday, January 28, 2005. Binge Drinking (Tupolev 144 and Concorde). I recently read an article in the Sunday Times about the binge drinking problem in the UK. Excessive drinking, too much noise, trouble making and complaints from neighbours. This made me think about the two greatest binge drinkers and noisy trouble makers of the civil aviation world, the Concorde and its even rowdier big brother the Tu 144 :). Yes the two planes looked remarkably similar. H...

The Sky is not the limit. The Sky is Home. Friday, May 27, 2005. What do Jessie Mach, Michael Knight and Stringfellow Hawke have in common? They were characters played by Rex Smith, David Hasselhoff and Jan-Michael Vincent in Street Hawk, Knight Rider and Airwolf respectively. These three shows filmed in the 1980s were probably among the most exciting action adventure serials ever aired on television. Here are some interesting helicopter facts:. The Boeing AH-64 Apache attack helicopter and the Boeing-Si...
