http://txtrimom.blogspot.com/2015/03/quilt-storage-solution.html
Dance like everyone's watching! Wednesday, March 18, 2015. The thing I love about quilts is that they are like a magnet.get one out and everyone wants to snuggle in them. The thing I don't like so much about quilts is that all the pets love them too! So if you leave a quilt out on the couch from where you were watching tv last night or something, there's a very strong chance that in the morning it will have dog hair, cat hair or both all over it. To PINTEREST, HO! One thing I kept thinking about was our ...

Windy Possibilities: NXNA Garden Tour
http://windypossibilities.blogspot.com/2015/05/nxna-garden-tour.html
Anything is possible in triathlon and in life. Wednesday, May 6, 2015. The Garden Tour was a BIG success! I had 75 people come by to look at my garden and they all seemed to love my native Texas garden. I got to give advice about plant selection, soil conditions, and bed preparation to lots of people. People appreciated that I had labeled my plants with both common and scientific names. Mealy blue sage Salvia farinacea. I even got to explain the difference between my 3 species of Echinacea to some people!

Texas Tri Mom: November 2009
http://txtrimom.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Dance like everyone's watching! Saturday, November 28, 2009. E just posed this question to me: "Why does Stanford use an axe for the helmet sticker? The Stanford Axe - an excerpt on it's history:. ORIGIN AND LOSS OF THE AXE. By Dink Templeton, Stanford '18. Understood to be figurative, the thousands of throats which hurl it across the field give ample assurance that a good bloody axe is just what they would choose as a weapon with which to wipe up the field and satisfy their feelings. It was one of the k...

It was one of those days where I just didn't feel like leaving the house again, especially to battle the grocery store. (Tell me you don't have any of those kinds of days.) Found this great recipe.that had me at "EASY". SPICY SHRIMP and SUN-DRIED TOMATO PASTA.

Dance like everyone's watching! Friday, March 15, 2013. Spring Break String Art. While planning some spring break activities for me and the boys, I came across a string art project on Pinterest and thought it would be someething cool and fun for us to try. I remember doing this type of project as a kid (maybe Girl Scouts or something? I mean, boards, hammers, nails - - what's not for the boys to like? Using Powerpoint, I made copies of the images and sized them for each board, printed them out and then w...

Dance like everyone's watching! Monday, October 4, 2010. Halfmax National Championships - The Race Report. Regardless of what you might hear me say at T-3 minutes until my wave starts in the water…at which point you might only hear “Why the hell am I doing this again? What was I thinking? Do I need to worry? And it appeared that I wasn’t the only one thinking that way. This “water” was worse than the overgrown with vegetation hot tub known as Decker, way worse than the mud and goat-poop laden...Not only ...

Texas Tri Mom: February 2013
http://txtrimom.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Dance like everyone's watching! Tuesday, February 19, 2013. A Village for Kate. Last week we lost a friend and neighbor in a terrible accident on 2222. That road continues to be a source of tragedy for those who use it regularly. As with most tragedies, there is a deep sadness and loss….but this one particularly hit close to home with me and in a way I wasn’t really expecting. How do you tell a little 11-year old girl that Mommy’s not coming back? I don‘t know that there are any words to soothe her...
