Fidgety Feet: August 2011

Well hopefully you've all guessed that we have actually made it to Florida, even though we haven't said a whole lot about it. So far our move has been quite adventurous if I do say so myself. The airport itself was uneventful as was the flight to Denver. Jackson fell asleep during take off and woke up just as we were landing, every parents dream! We arrived in Florida and were literally smacked in the face with humidity, phew! More to come soon! Next installment: 'Church with no Car'. Anyway, I know this...

Dr Suess the Philosopher. Talking politics. I love the debate, I love hearing about what other people think and how they came to their conclusions. I love the rush I feel when someone says something I don't agree with and I have to figure out in my mind why what they said has bothered me and how I really feel about the issue. Yes, I know that we say that we shouldn't and we say that we don't, but is that as true as we would like to believe? I am in love with this book. I love everything about it....Some ...

Easiest (& cheapest) Advent Calendar Ever! I'm sure I'm not the first person to think this up, but I'm proud to say I came up with the idea all on my own. So I went back to Walmart, this time only spending $2 and came out with my new advent calendar. It took about 15 minutes or so to make and Jackson has loved popping the balloons so far. My only regret is not thinking of this advent calendar before I spent a small fortune on the other one, which I do plan to finish, just not today. =).

I know I've made a lot of posts about different meals lately, but it's something that has been on my mind a lot lately. I was thinking that its sometimes hard to come up with lunches that include vegetables so here are two of our mainstays:. 1/4 of a ripe avocado. A couple slices of tomato. A few lettuce leaves. These are seriously soo good! You won't even miss the bacon! 1 tortilla, preferably whole wheat. 1 knife full of peanut butter. 1/4-1/2 of an apple cut into thin strips or diced. Like seriously, ...

Fidgety Feet: March 2012

I wanted to do something kind of fun for Pi Day on Wednesday so I took an idea from this blog http:/ www.ourbestbites.com. Although hers are much prettier than mine, you still get the idea. I'm sure you guys have probably seen this blog before, its super popular. Anyway Jackson and I made some little hand pies. He had a lot of fun using the cookie cutters to make different shapes. His favorite part was definitely eating the filling though. Labels: Fun things to do. We had some problems with our rental ca...
