Rachel's Blog: September 2008
http://rachelelwoodblog.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Thoughts on life, the world, and my job as a writer for a missionary-sending agency. Tuesday, September 23, 2008. Looking at the World through God's Eyes. For me, it meant reformatting my iGoogle homepage. I took a deep breath, and deleted the RSS feeds to CNN. Feeling bolder, I then moved my “Verse of the Day” gadget from my random stuff tab (that I looked at once a week) to the main tab, which is in front of my face anytime I open up the Interweb. And I work for World Gospel Mission. When I got home fr...

Rachel's Blog: October 2008
http://rachelelwoodblog.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Thoughts on life, the world, and my job as a writer for a missionary-sending agency. Monday, October 27, 2008. Life, Post-Daddy's Girl. I realize that people in theatre do this all the time – give everything they have to a show, and when it’s over, they move on. But since it’s been about 10 years since I’ve done theatre, I’m allowing myself some adjustment time. And I’m fine with the fact that I process experiences slowly. Has been pretty good, now that I think about it! Thursday, October 16, 2008. Websi...

Rachel's Blog: Rachel's Weird Frugal/Green Tips
http://rachelelwoodblog.blogspot.com/2009/04/rachels-weird-frugalgreen-tips.html
Thoughts on life, the world, and my job as a writer for a missionary-sending agency. Thursday, April 9, 2009. Rachel's Weird Frugal/Green Tips. 1 I use every freaking last ATOM of shampoo or conditioner, adding water to get it out of the bottle until it’s all completely gone. Savings: a few more uses means you get to put off buying another one for a little while. Savings: I’m sure someone has done studies on the water savings. Go Google it. Rachel's Blog: March 2009
http://rachelelwoodblog.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Thoughts on life, the world, and my job as a writer for a missionary-sending agency. Monday, March 30, 2009. MK's, a Scary Baltimore Underpass, and the White House. The Baltimore underpass was the fault of our GPS. Yes, we are one of those. At least we didn't turn into a lake or drive off a cliff. But because we were UNDER the freeway system, the GPS couldn't find us, and there was trash and abandoned vehicles everywhere, and then Rachel (MK from Bangladesh) pointed to a train track, "Oh look! The postca...

Rachel's Blog: April 2009
http://rachelelwoodblog.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Thoughts on life, the world, and my job as a writer for a missionary-sending agency. Wednesday, April 29, 2009. This story on BBC.com grabbed my attention this week: "Builders Find Auschwitz Message." http:/ news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8022667.stm. Why did these men hide that message? What were they facing that they felt the need to leave some evidence of their existence - and to what end? Sunday, April 19, 2009. We got there around dinnertime last night, just as Friday evening prayers were getting out at...

Rachel's Blog: December 2008
http://rachelelwoodblog.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Thoughts on life, the world, and my job as a writer for a missionary-sending agency. Wednesday, December 31, 2008. One of my 15-year-old Facebook friends (she's a friend in real life, too) posted a note today, listing what she did and learned in 2008. That inspired me to think over my own 2008, and here's the result. Please do enjoy. (I know my months are perfectly divided into quarters. Interestingly, sometimes life doesn't neatly divide.). Difficult job transition at WGM. Finished the Oasis room. 8220;...

Rachel's Blog: July 2008
http://rachelelwoodblog.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Thoughts on life, the world, and my job as a writer for a missionary-sending agency. Thursday, July 17, 2008. My sister, Becky, is getting married in August. I know, it's great. And she is going to wear a sari - a very pretty lavender silk - and she wants me to wear a sari too! So I ordered one a few days ago online from a business. In Jaipur, India. Which is cool, because I've been to Jaipur. (Nice town; kind of poluted, but lots of old palaces.) Isn't it gorgeous? I really like the embroidery.
