The Goddard Adventure: October 2012
http://goddardfamilyadventure.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 25, 2012. I will continue to pray for my heart to be satisfied by our little family here, but it is so hard to be away from a spiritual support system. May God guard my thoughts from despair. Wednesday, October 24, 2012. When typhoons come around, it continually sounds like the beginning of the Wizard of Oz. There is this terrible whistling sound as well that doesn't go away, it's eery. Another thing that happens is while you're in the house, the air pressure fluctuates with eac...Simpl...

Thursday, May 15, 2014. MEET EZRA: REFLECTING ON A YEAR. There were the earliest days. That should have been filled with joy and happiness and getting to know our sweet boy and establishing our family of four, that were instead filled with so much sadness, so much worry. There were so many sleepless nights, fearing that Ezra might spontaneously bleed to death because his platelets were so low. Peering through the darkness, watching for blood.from our newborn baby. There was finally hearing the words.

The Goddard Adventure: July 2014
http://goddardfamilyadventure.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 28, 2014. My my, how time does fly when you have two kids! Has it really been since February since I last updated? So much has happened, so let's recap:. We had little E's 4th birthday here. The theme was Dragons Love Tacos (from one of her favorite books) and we made dragon hats, read the book, and ate tacos. It was a lot of fun and yes, I do realize that at some point I will have to succumb to a fairies and /or princess party.but so far, I've gotten away without one! G and Auntie Kristi.

The Goddard Adventure: February 2015
http://goddardfamilyadventure.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 19, 2015. Well, we were supposed to be vacationing in exciting Taipei, Taiwan this past weekend for Valentine's Day/President's Day. BUT (as our luck would have it), through a trio of unforeseen disasters the night before, we ended up canceling our much awaited and anticipated adventure. What were these three mishaps? I'm glad I'm not stuck in a one bedroom apartment coughing through the night with my family.but I sure would've loved to spend Valentine's Day in Taipei. This is at a Shi...

Thursday, May 30, 2013. So this is our 10th month living overseas! WOW, I never thought I'd be doing this. Still I sit back sometimes and think, "Am I really living overseas? Am I seriously the only American in this store? Can I really just drive 20 minutes to swim at a beautiful beach? Can I, please, learn better Japanese so I can tell the little boys outside our windows to stop screaming at each other? Ah, foreign culture! Summer will be the hardest because they'll all be out for summer.yippee! Here's ...

Thursday, January 3, 2013. The holidays are over and boy did they go fast and furious. I was half of the mind to let Christmas just pass without much hoopla.but once I saw Little E. Get excited over a Christmas tree she saw on t.v., that idea was OVER! It REALLY changed the mood and suddenly I was playing Michael Buble christmas music every day (unheard of for me)! Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Tea Parties and Caged Animals. Little E has been having lots of adventures lately and some have been quite surprising! We went to a wonderful tea party at Ciara and Natalia's house where the girls ate sweets, drank "tea" (actually lemonade) and dressed up in tiara's, necklaces and dresses. So much fun to watch them act like little ladies.and then run like banshees around the house after the sugar kicked in :). Cameron sure enjoyed sitting like a big girl. What a crazy place!

The Goddard Adventure: December 2012

Tuesday, December 18, 2012. The Okinawa Prefectural Peace Memorial Museum. A few weeks ago we went to the Peace Memorial Museum down on the southern tip of the island. It is a huge park and museum dedicated to the Battle of Okinawa (the end of WWII) and it's surrounding events. It is a somber and quiet place detailing the battle, it's importance in world history and its impact on the island natives. Here are details that stuck with me:. The cruelest of the many ironies of the Pacific War was that, after ...
