Tuesday, 19 July 2011. After an incredible amount of planning, organising and sheer hard work, the Strategy Launch night went ahead without a hitch. It was a fantastic night with live music performed by the Band of the Corps of the Royal Engineers. The night was attended by over 350 people, including our Guests of Honour, the Adjutant General, Lieutenant General Mark Mans CBE and Viscount De L’Isle MBE DL, Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Kent. Friday, 16 March 2012. CHAIRMAN, EDWIN BOORMAN OBE. It is with great sadness that we have to announce that RBLI’s Chairman, Edwin Boorman OBE passed away on 14. March 2012 after a short illness. Edwin will be greatly missed by all at RBLI, the wider village community and throughout Kent where he has been a stalwart Ambassador for the county as well as a former Kent County President of The Royal British Legion and it was for this that Edwin was awarded an OBE in 2002. And latterly in Queen Elizabeth Court.

We recently had the pleasure of hosting and attending the South East Coast Armed Forces Forum which has been established to act as a liaison between Kent PCT’s and the MoD and to provide strategic overview of the military health work for Kent PCT clusters.
