the pollybloggy: February 2008
http://pollybloggy.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
The experiences of a Bellinghamster whose most recent adventure is a move to Manchester, England. Saturday 23 February 2008. No luck finding creamed chipped beef for our usual Christmas breakfast casserole. So, we started a new tradition on this one: scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, which is a common breakfast over here. Accompanied by my delicious brown bread. The rest of the day was a lovely Christmas spent at home. There was much relaxing. By the fire, walking. Looking over of pressies. Over the wee...

The experiences of a Bellinghamster whose most recent adventure is a move to Manchester, England. Wednesday 18 June 2008. We've had some lovely days the past couple weeks, but that does not include today. In fact, Slim turned on the fireplace as I was starting this. It was lashing rain, and wind was whipping the trees around. Signifcant recent events include a visit from JLa, a trip to London, a very special view of Blarney castle and a license! Very interesting. A little shopping, then I had to say ...

The experiences of a Bellinghamster whose most recent adventure is a move to Manchester, England. Monday 19 April 2010. An Easter week tradition of exploration is starting to develop in our household. This year we decided to head to the South West of England for a holiday featuring three of our favourite things: Birds, Bipedalism and Beer. The holiday started at home for Easter weekend. We spent Friday getting the house clean and tidy, then headed to the market. Race, a local charity event. The ride also...

The experiences of a Bellinghamster whose most recent adventure is a move to Manchester, England. Thursday 23 July 2009. Just a couple of albums that were recently added to our Picasa page. Birding trip to Saltee Islands. The Saltees are just off the southern coast of County Wexford. They are known for their breeding colonies of birds that spend most of their lives at sea. Amazing Experience. A little barbecue fun. Two for one blog posts! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Iceland 440: Days 4-6.

The experiences of a Bellinghamster whose most recent adventure is a move to Manchester, England. Thursday 23 July 2009. Iceland 440: Days 4-6. The end of the week was not quite so jam-packed with fun. We slowed down into a more relaxing vacation pace. Tuesday, 16 December 2008. On the main shopping street and had the worst meal of the trip. You can't win them all! We headed to the Iceland National Museum. This is a bit of a walk which was good after the greasy breakfast. We found a great map. The arrang...

Iceland 440: Dates at last
http://sliminiceland.blogspot.com/2008/06/dates-at-last.html
Slim's Celebration in Iceland 4 his 40th. At long last we've picked our dates for the Slim (and PK) in Iceland extravaganza: December 16th through the 22nd. The dates of course center on my birthday, but include the shortest day of the year as well I just couldn't resist that. I don't know the itinerary because it's a secret (from me); PK can give you the full details (I understand that there are some surprises). I do know it will include visits to the Blue Lagoon, Geysir, and Gullfoss falls.

The experiences of a Bellinghamster whose most recent adventure is a move to Manchester, England. Monday 4 August 2008. Lovely Ladies of the Lijn. Copenhagen girls' weekend was brilliant! Couple of my Holland America Line coworkers were in Copenhagen over the 4th of July weekend for a ship inaugural and had one evening and morning to play. So, I thought, why not jet over there! I arrived late morning Friday, pretty tired, but okay. First on the agenda was food, and I found a cafe serving traditional ...

The experiences of a Bellinghamster whose most recent adventure is a move to Manchester, England. Tuesday 25 December 2007. HAPPY, HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! We are having a fabulous Christmas morning in Ireland. We woke about 7:40 and looking outside I thought that it was middle of the night. But our days are getting longer now, so not too much longer of that. A freezing fog had moved in in the early morning and the almost full moon shining through it was beautiful. Santy was very good this year! Mostly, w...
