Yucaipa Yarns and Yearnings. Life and Times of Me. Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Sore Legs, PetScans and Packing. Last night was not a good night and this morning wasn't too great either. For some reason my calves are killing me! I almost started laughing because it seemed so ludricous to me. Then across the parking lot and into the trailer. We will find out the results on December 8 when we have the first appointment with the oncologist. Will pray that the trip brings you some needed fun and distraction.

not cool enough: My stocked kitchen
http://stmarys7.blogspot.com/2012/01/my-stocked-kitchen.html
Monday, January 09, 2012. One of the greatest joys of my "housekeeping" life is finding I have the ingredients I need for a new recipe on hand already. I feel like I've won the lottery.a whole meal, ready to prepare, without purchasing new ingredients! When I recently came across The Stocked Kitchen. And a few recipes online. I'd still really like to own the book.does anyone have any experience with the stocked kitchen method? For dinner tonight (because, joy, I have all the ingredients! Sat 17 Oct 2015.

not cool enough: Green Eggs and Ham
http://stmarys7.blogspot.com/2012/03/green-eggs-and-ham.html
Saturday, March 03, 2012. Green Eggs and Ham. Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss.a day late yes, but Happy Birthday none the less! Okay - if I was really good I'd have thought ahead and made my entire post rhyme.but I'm not. I've been working for about 5 weeks now, and my motivation for cooking has rapidly decreased. However, my new obsession with Pinterest, combined with some fun new products from Pampered Chef have given me a bit of a boost! 8 slices deli ham, thinly sliced. 189; teaspoon salt. Jack, of course i...

Yucaipa Yarns and Yearnings. Life and Times of Me. Thursday, December 24, 2009. I asked Joyce if I could be a guest blogger on Christmas Day and she graciously said yes. I hope that I am not a disapointment to those of you that enjoy what Joyce writes. I too look forward to her updates and am inspired by her. I wanted to use this space to wish all of our family and friends a very Merry Christmas and God's blessing for the New Year. A church that surrounds us with loving arms. Yucaipa Yarns and Yearnings. Life and Times of Me. Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Here it is, December 9 already. Time is either crawling or flying - I am still not sure. There are so many things I am not sure of right now. What does one do when you are diagnosed with lung cancer at age 47? It doesn't make any sense. We got back late Monday night and yesterday we met with my oncologist. We did not receive the news we were hoping for. (like "your cancer has miraculously disappeared! So how are we doing?

http://joycedk.blogspot.com/2009/12/cancer-and-confusion.html
Yucaipa Yarns and Yearnings. Life and Times of Me. Monday, December 21, 2009. I believe this is a huge gift from God that in the midst of the chaos that is now my life, I can still feel and take incredible joy in the things that have always brought me joy. Another thing that is real confusing about this disease is the chemo. Wow! When I rest in this knowledge, life is a lot less confusing. December 21, 2009 at 11:52 AM. December 21, 2009 at 1:13 PM. We all want answers and positive ones. Remember that Mo...

Yucaipa Yarns and Yearnings: Thanksgiving Morning 2009
http://joycedk.blogspot.com/2009/11/thanksgiving-morning-2009.html
Yucaipa Yarns and Yearnings. Life and Times of Me. Thursday, November 26, 2009. I'm sitting in my living room looking out at the mountains. Several years ago I stenciled on the cornice boxes atop my windows the following "I lift up my eyes to the mountains: Where does my help come from? I love my husband, my boys, my family and friends and I plan to enjoy them all for years to come. Please ask God to make that possible for me. November 26, 2009 at 8:17 AM. Thank you for your reminder on how good life can...

http://joycedk.blogspot.com/2009/11/big-trees.html
Yucaipa Yarns and Yearnings. Life and Times of Me. Saturday, November 7, 2009. Many, many years ago, I may have been about 12, my family camped in Sequoia National Park for an entire week. I don't remember much about the actual nature in the park - well, a few things. 1 There were bears. Every night, while laying in our tent trailer, we would hear those critters knocking over the trash cans looking for a midnight snack. 2 It was August. It snowed. It was really, really cold. 5 We had to go to church on S...

Yucaipa Yarns and Yearnings. Life and Times of Me. Monday, August 24, 2009. Visit from Kris and Kids - Caroline, Cole and Catherine. Kris Peterson Sucher and I have been friends since freshman year at Calvin College when we were fortunate enough to be put in the same suite. She was a New Jersey girl, I was from California, we were both preacher's kids and we hit it off quickly. Twenty nine years later we still see each other as often as possible. Looks like some fun places to take people. are the tar...
