Just Groups: May 2011

http://justgroups.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Engaging life in small groups. Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Cold hands, warm heart. I am so glad warmer weather is finally here. As usual, for the next 3-4 months there is a high chance-ability (Like that non-word? That people will not be saying, “wow, your hands are cold! 8221; Of course I have given several responses over the years such as, “Refreshing isn’t it,” or “Yea, warm me up,” or the old standard “Cold hands, warm heart.”. Well, it appears that the latter response may actually be somewhat on track!

Just Groups: September 2009

http://justgroups.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Engaging life in small groups. Tuesday, September 8, 2009. Recently, I was leading a Wednesday night study on eschatology or the study of end times. At the outset of the series I asked the question, “Do you give much thought to end times and what will happen when Jesus comes back? 8221; I was quite surprised to find how many people answered yes! Then I was even more surprised to learn that they think about this often, and some even on a daily basis. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow me on Twitter. In wh...

Engaging life in small groups. Monday, July 20, 2009. Part 5 of 7 - Addressing the issues of “The Seven Deadly Sins of Small Group Ministry”. Really for small groups to be successful, they must be accessible to those in need; the need being relationship and spiritual growth. A convenience store is named just that, because it is always open. Imagine not being able to just walk in at anytime and get what you need? Not very convenient, Huh! Remember to reach out as often as you reach up! Time to Get Serious.

Engaging life in small groups. Saturday, August 20, 2011. Facedown – Who knew that Dave Walden had the perfect body for planking? The Men of Tiffany Fellowship Church recently had the opportunity to attend the District Men’s Retreat at the Lake Maurer campground in Excelsior Springs. To say the least, all in attendance had a fantastic time in fellowship and getting facedown before the Lord in more ways than one! Praying for your best,. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Just Groups: March 2009

http://justgroups.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Engaging life in small groups. Friday, March 27, 2009. Yes, we are deserving. As a small group leader, do you feel we are we producing the groups we deserve? I ask this, as I often wonder how long people retain the knowledge and truth that we as leaders share with them. Certainly, if there has been an investment in someone’s life that would make a significant difference, you would tend to think that Satan would quickly come to sift away that truth from their life. Monday, March 23, 2009. It was at that p...

Just Groups: March 2010

http://justgroups.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Engaging life in small groups. Wednesday, March 10, 2010. The Heart of Primal Christianity. When Jesus was asked by a teacher of the law, of all the commandments which was the most important - Mark 12:28-30. AMO DEI. LOVE GOD. It would be difficult if not next to impossible to love God with a heart that loves as the world does! Transplanted in you. When we give our lives to Christ, we experience a phenomenon of receiving the heart of Christ in us. At that point we are cleansed and purified then o...In th...

Small Group Network | So that nobody stands alone

So that nobody stands alone. I grew up in northern California in a little town called Redwood Valley. Just north of us were the giant redwoods. Redwood trees have very shallow roots. They withstand the wind by spreading out and intertwining roots and they hold each other up. What a perfect picture of fellowship! We spread out, we intertwine, and we hold each other up. That’s what the Purpose Driven Small Group Network can do for you. Welcome to the Small Group Network. To help us be intentional. Sharing ...

Recipe Favorites

Tuesday, June 28, 2011. It was a grim pantry/fridge this morning. Out of milk and eggs and coffee creamer and fruit and yogurt and granola. Sometimes avoiding the grocery not only saves money and time but also forces creativity to the next level. In the pantry was a can of sweetened condensed milk which I opened to yummy up my coffee, but the little boy at my elbow was HUNGRY! YUMMY Not a single one remained by 11am. My kids are like hobbits and have multiple breakfasts. =). Saturday, June 25, 2011.

Recipe Swap

Where we swap our favorites! Saturday, November 28, 2009. Corn and Ham Chowder. I served this tonight with waffles. Serves the savory and sweet craving I was having today. I couldn't find a recipe to meet the needs of the ingredients I had on hand. So, this is what I cam up with and it was delish! 2 cups frozen homegrown sweet corn. 2 cups diced ham. 2 cups diced hash browns. 1/2 sweet bell pepper. 10 baby carrots chopped. 1 can cheddar cheese soup. 2 cans cream of chicken soup. 1 can evaporated milk.
