http://lather-be-soaping.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 13, 2014. Christmas Tree Feather Swirl. Seasons greetings, everyone! I hope that you all are gearing up for a wonderful holiday season with family and friends. And I also hope that you've got your holiday soaps ready for gifting! This year, I made only two holiday soaps: Peppermint Wonderland. And this Christmas Tree soap. I usually make more, but hubby and I have been anticipating a move, which has kept us both distracted, and I still have plenty of other soaps that I can gift. That i...

I'd Lather Be Soaping: Pineapple Ginger Salt Bars
http://lather-be-soaping.blogspot.com/2013/01/pineapple-ginger-salt-bars.html
Saturday, January 26, 2013. Pineapple Ginger Salt Bars. Now that Christmas has come and gone, I'm actually starting to get low on soap for the first time in a while. I made several batches as gifts for family and friends - the holiday soaps are gone except for a few end pieces that I kept. And because I was saving the holiday soaps for Christmas, we used up most of our older bars. Which means I can make more new batches! By Sarah from Ladybug Soapworks. But won't all of that coconut oil be drying to the ...

I'd Lather Be Soaping: August 2015
http://lather-be-soaping.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 9, 2015. Lemon-Lime Spinning Swirl Fail. So, it's been forever since I've blogged. And it's been forever since I've made any soap. I made this batch in May and that's been it. Part of it is because I've still got soap bars that are a year or two old that I need to use up before I make more. Although if I'm going to make any soaps for the holidays it's about time to get going. Truth is, I just haven't been interested in blogging lately. Showing how the spinning swirl is supposed to work....

I'd Lather Be Soaping: Geranium Patchouli Soap
http://lather-be-soaping.blogspot.com/2013/08/geranium-patchouli-soap.html
Friday, August 2, 2013. Patchouli. Some people love it, some people hate it. I am a big fan. One of these days, I need to make a straight patchouli soap. A while back, though, someone suggested that I try a geranium/patchouli essential oil blend, and I decided to give that a try since I had both on my fragrance shelf. The scent is mostly rose with a nice earthy base. Kinda like a rose garden after a ground-soaking rain. I recently got some Red Moroccan Clay. Another concern was the tint of the essential ...

I'd Lather Be Soaping: Fireburst Soap
http://lather-be-soaping.blogspot.com/2014/06/fireburst-soap.html
Sunday, June 22, 2014. If you've been following this blog for a while, you may remember some Candy Cane soaps. That I made for the holidays using the Impressionist Swirl technique. To do the Impressionist Swirl, you divide your soap into as many colors as you'd like and then use squeeze bottles to drizzle the soap into the mold. Typically, the soap is drizzled horizontally into the mold, along the long sides, to create the Impressionist Swirl. A while back, I saw a post by the Otion Soap Blog. To figure ...

I'd Lather Be Soaping: April 2015
http://lather-be-soaping.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 2, 2015. Hear me out now. Chocolate and patchouli are really good together, you guys. What made me combine the two? Well, my husband kinda gave me the idea. There was a bar of Geranium Patchouli soap. In the bathroom. After he showered, he smelled faintly of patchouli. Then he put on some cocoa butter lotion. And I remarked that he smelled like chocolate and patchouli. You can guess what happened next. Why, yes, I did. Bramble Berry's Chocolate Espresso Cybilla FO. Take those big chunks o...

I'd Lather Be Soaping: Spa Salt Bars With Activated Charcoal
http://lather-be-soaping.blogspot.com/2014/05/spa-salt-bars-with-activated-charcoal.html
Thursday, May 22, 2014. Spa Salt Bars With Activated Charcoal. If you are a soapmaker like me, you probably have several batches of soap laying around at any given time. And you probably don't use up one batch and then start in on another. You probably take a bar from this batch, and then next time take one from another, and ooh, I haven't used one of these bars in a while. Anyway, that is how I ended up making my last batch of salt soap. Last time, I followed Sarah's salt soap recipe. I love this recipe...
