Another treat for the day was having a photographer come by to capture some special moments. Suzanne is a friend of the family and has an amazing eye. See some of the photos she shot of our family on her blog SuzOjo. What a wonderful day we had, spending time with friends and family and celebrating our Lord Jesus and the suffering he endured for US. What an amazing gift! Well I do, and it's great! We will follow up again when he is 6 months old! Location: Fort Worth Zoo, 1989 Colonial Pkwy, Fort Worth, T...

Vivi at 18 months, Cade at 2 weeks. My mom came to visit for a week after Cade was born. It was so nice to have her around to help with both kids as well as to cook us some wonderful meals. Unfortunately, we did not take many pictures during her time here and have no pictures with her and the kids. Sad. Happy Birth Day Cade! Sweet baby Cade was born yesterday morning and is so loved! David Alan IV is HERE! Cade was born yesterday morning at 9:31 am via c-section. We are both doing great! We decided to ta...

Unfortunately, for the past 2 years I have not participated in dressing up, which shocks even me, as I love a good theme party. At least I have a cute little girl to dress up! I am starting to see she loves playing dress up as much as her mommy. This year, Vivi was a belly dancer for Halloween, and what an adorable belly dancer she made. Oh well, Trey and I enjoyed the candy in the weeks to come instead. Not so great for the waistline. Who can even believe that the Rangers are in the ALCS. It is amazing ...

Cades First Ranch Trip. This weekend we traveled down highway 281 to the quaint town of Wimberley, TX for the wedding of one of my college girlfriends, Clare. Both kids joined us, as did Mary Martha and James. This was my first official trip to Texas Hill Country, and I loved it! It was a fun weekend spent outside in the beautiful hill country. We rented a house close to town which was perfect with both of the kids in tow. They slept well, and the house was fully stocked with toys! Cades First Ranch Trip.

Prairie Fairytales: Happy 2nd Birthday Vivi!
http://vivisourvida.blogspot.com/2011/09/happy-2nd-birthday-vivi.html
Happy 2nd Birthday Vivi! Today we celebrated Vivi's second birthday with a trip with Sarah and Lizzie to Fort Worth. We had a nice lunch at The Zodiac Cafe, where the girls. Threw tantrums over the iPad. Acted like ladies. Followed by a little shopping at Neimans where mommy scored some to die for sparkly leopard print toms. Love! Since we made the move to WF Vivi has grown up from a baby into a little girl. She makes me laugh every day with the things that she says and the funny things that she does...

Crested Butte Vacation {day 1}. Last year, we began the Family Vacation tradition and it seems as though we have waited all summer for our vacation to finally arrive. It has been such a hot and grueling summer, a trip to the mountains is more than welcomed! We have been enduring months upon months of more than 100 degree temperatures, and are in the midst of the worst drought this part of the country has seen since the dust bowl. We picked a great year to move to Wichita Falls! This might be the best piz...

Happy 2 Birthday Molly! Today we had the pleasure of attending sweet Molly's second birthday party. All of the kids had a fun afternoon filled with sweets and bouncing. It was such a fun little party! Vivi enjoyed bouncing in the bounce house with all of her friends. It is definitely a balance exercise! Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone. Have invaded our house! Thank you SuperFrog for saving us from Bee Flies at our house! The party could not have gone any smoother. The kids had a great time play...

Vivi has a small obsession with cows. She LOVES them! Sometimes I wish we had a pet cow so that she would have constant entertainment. The excitement would probably wear off pretty quickly though, and cattle tend to stink. So, instead, we will take regular trips up to the ranch so that Vivi can get her moo fix. Location: Northwest Comanche, OK, USA. Here is another Cooking Light. Recipe that is fast, delicious, and easy! Chicken and Shiitake Marsala. 4 chicken breast halves. 1/2 cup marsala wine. Heat a ...

We took a little day trip down to Flower Mound for Columbus Day to enjoy the sunshine and have a fun day with the kids. The Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch. Has a huge selection of pumpkins, bounce houses galore, a kids size maze, sweet little rides, and ponies. There was something for everyone. Of course Vivi loved the ponies and Luke and Lizzie could bounce to their hearts content. Next time we will make sure to come when kids are not out of school, because it was busy busy!
