Spendlove Dancing Academy History. At Spendlove Dancing Academy we have been teaching eager young children (boys and girls) the basics and the love of dance for over 31 years, with 27 years in the Yarra Valley. Lately we have also been teaching eager (young at heart) adults the art of Tap dancing. My Mother first introduced me to dance at the early age of three. She enrolled me in classical ballet classes due to me being pigeon toed. At this time my Aunty was learning to dance at a school in Port Melbourne, so every Saturday we would catch two busses and a train from Box Hill to attend classes. Up to this day I have been dancing for 50 yrs and I find it very satisfying to see my students working hard and finally achieving their set goals. Taptations

The Taptations are a group of eager (young at heart) adults who are enjoying the art of Tap dancing. Most of the ladies have not done any dancing before and love getting together for a morning of fun and fitness with some socializing. Some of the ladies have participated in exams with some achieving trophies for gaining high marks. The Taptations have attended many Fund raising events in the Yarra Valley, and love a chance to show off their new found ability. Powered By Vivation Design.

First day of term 1 2016. Tap and Theatrical Exams to be held at E.S.H. from 9.00am. All Tap classes cancelled. Jazz and Classical Exams to be held at L.P.P.S. from 10.00am. All other classes cancelled. Classes will not be held. Cup Day No classes. Stage Rehearsal, held at Emerald Secondary Collage. Commencing at 9.15am. Parents are not allowed into the auditorium. Tea and coffee will be supplied for parents waiting in the foyer. Friday November 18th to Wednesday December 23rd. Last day term 4 2016.
