Sunday, March 9, 2008. Project Guilia (7 )WE HAVE A DRIVE! After fitting new rubber hoses front and rear, the beleeding did not proceed as easz as planned. I purchased an eezybleed, but the cap on the reservoir did not lock well enough, spilling all fluid into the engine bay. With that done, braking suddenly did not mean steering to the right anymore. Its a very sweet driver now and running regularly for outings and errants when we get the chance. Look forward taking it out for easter to the Ardennes.

Thursday, December 18, 2008. Its already some time ago I posted news, obviously due to lack of time. The business is taking most of the attention as is family life. Anyway: status of the Giulietta resto is not yet extensively reported here and therefore some updates. Dismantling is ongoing but very slow. Interior is partly dismantled. Zaterdag 28 april 2012. Giulia 50 jaar voorbereiden. Vandaag de Giulia weer gestart en even een stukje mee gereden om voor te bereiden op het Spettacolo Sportivo in Assen volgende week om 50 jaar Giulia te vieren. En gelukkig maar dat ik dit gedaan heb. 'De motorolie stroomde op de grond. Na onderzoek blijkt het een lekke klepdeksel pakking te zijn. Wat komt daar VEEL olie uit! Snel een nieuwe besteld bij Henk Prins. Hopen dat het snel verstuurd kan worden, dan durf ik Assen ook aan!

Zondag 15 juli 2012. Voorbeeld op plaatje is niet mijn exemplaar. Heerlijk geblazen op de terugweg uit Italie, maar in Duitsland viel het me op dat het laadstroomlampje zwak ging branden. Thuis alle kabels nagekeken, losgehaald en weer vastgemaakt, maar niks. Besloten om de Spider maar niet mee te nemen op het weekje vakantie in de ardennen. Heel vervelend, maar ik heb geen heel lang snoer daar om iedere nacht in de regen de accu te laden. Gedemonteerd en naar Frenken Motors. Giulia nieuwe kenteken platen.

Donderdag 19 maart 2009. Eerste werkfotos van de Giulietta! De vloer bestuurdersplaats linksvoor. Drempel is weggehaald en deel van de vloer vervangen. Beter zicht op linker drempel en A-stijl. Deel van drempel reeds vervangen. Drempel en A-stijl aansluiting linkerzijde. A-stijl, drempel en vloer gezien vanuit de linksvoor wielkast. Linker spatbord is verwijderd. A Stijl en schutbord aansluiting onder de voorruit zijn kennelijk doorgerot. Rechter Koplamp en voorscherm zijn reeds opgelapt.

Dinsdag 5 januari 2010. Net voor de kerst heeft Bela de Giulietta weer teruggebracht. De prachtig Tornado blauw gespoten body was door het vieze weer in een volledige zoutstreep veranderd. Vrijdag 27 september 2013. SCARB 50 jaar Giulia. Start bij Barend in Etten Leur. Onderweg met een veer over. Tussenstop met lunch in Houten bij Vireo. Heerlijk! En ten slotte de stop bij Rik Zuurbier in Hilversum. We hebben het laatste adres niet meer gehaald, omdat we niet te laat naar huis wilden. Maandag 1 juni 2009. Het blok is nu volledig ontmanteld en de oorzaak van het vastzitten van de motor is gevonden. De derde cilinder zit geheel vast. Waarschijnlijk door een vloeistof lekkage. Het blok is nu zoals maar enigzins mogelijk is gereinigd en handelbaar gemaakt. Kop is gedemonteerd. Nokkenassen uit hun lagers gehaald. Alle meuk uit de kop gehaald en weer gemonteerd. Maandag 6 april 2009. Motor en bak gescheiden. De werkplaats is nu klaar om aan de grote schoonmaak te beginnen van blok en bak. Jan heeft me het motorkraantje weer welwillend uitgeleend. Zo heb ik met vriend Otto nu de bak losgemaakt van het blok en het blok in de steun gehangen. De bak bleef aanvankelijk wat hangen aan de spievertanding van de prise as.
