Brief Public Service Announcement - lemurling. Brief Public Service Announcement. May 10th, 2006 12:04 pm. OK, that just sounds weird and stupid, but hey, maybe I can meet up with folks for an early dinner after.). I should have said that I have done. Apheresis. The last time was in Feb 2003, the Exploding Blood Incident. 2006-05-10 09:14 pm (UTC). I'm type O, but unable to donate, on account of the man-sex. 2006-05-10 09:42 pm (UTC). I can't wait until they do away with that stupid policy. Of course...

Homeless - lemurling
http://lemurling.livejournal.com/52705.html
Mar 13th, 2006 02:41 am. I started with just some idle notes, but this got long and maudlin. Fair warning, you may want to scroll on by. M's gone to the GAMA conference in Las Vegas until Wednesday night. We aren't apart much, so I'm rather lonesome (perhaps why I'm up at 2am), but it's such a short break, it's not like I'll even have time to get mopey. Been doing a lot of reading today, to forestall any potential mope. Plunked myself down at Borders and read a few books, including Nickeled and Dimed.

Stick Morton's Fork in Me, I'm Done! - The Night Sky
http://sylvan.livejournal.com/453251.html
Stick Morton's Fork in Me, I'm Done! Jan 10th, 2010 at 8:11 PM. Today I resigned from my position as Programming Event Manager of BayCon 2010. It was a very difficult decision for me. I have been attending BayCon for over 20 years and this would have been my 14th year working it. I was not the only one who left. Erik Bigglestone delivered and read the following letter at the BayCon Staff Meeting on January 10th, 2010. While I did not write this letter, I endorse Mr. Bigglestone's message. Christine Doyle...

My Wiscon will be socially just, or... - Not Just a Funky Looking Valley Girl

Not Just a Funky Looking Valley Girl. My Wiscon will be socially just, or. July 21st, 2014. On reading the discussion at anatarcticlust post. I'm finding the Frenkel subcommittee issue an unfortunate example of the persistence of a certain sort of Wiscon conrunning culture - slow motions by committees and subcommittees, opaque to the outside despite calls for (and promises of! Wiscon's programming looks like Third Wave Feminism in action, and for that it's much beloved by many. Wiscon's concom (in th...

The results of my visit to the ER (evening of the 26th) - The Night Sky
http://sylvan.livejournal.com/453078.html
The results of my visit to the ER (evening of the 26th). Dec 27th, 2009 at 1:16 AM. I don’t have bronchitis. My sugars were good, so yay me! Still no worries about diabetes (some how! Also, they broke my persistent low-grade fever that I've had for several days now. Apparently I’m fat. I hate it when nurses/doctors/professionals talk to you like you just somehow missed the fact that you are morbidly overweight and now that they have pointed it out the pounds will just shed away. Sorry to hear your sick&#...

I like to comment more than I post. When things are going really… - Liquidity
http://roniliquidity.livejournal.com/312185.html
June 21st, 2011. I like to comment more than I post. When things are going really well, I'm too busy to post, when things are going moderately poorly, I don'T really want to talk about it, and in between I feel guilty for being inconsistent. So hey, maybe since no one else wants to hear my opinions, I'll just keep them here. I need to stop pouting and get back to work now, or at least pout and work, but follow this space for more possibly volatile posting in the future. 2011-06-21 06:03 pm (UTC). If you ...

My Health - The Night Sky

May 21st, 2010 at 11:03 AM. I apologize for not informing each of you more personally, however each time I have this conversation it is very difficult for me and my heart, both physically and emotionally. It isn't because I don't care for you deeply, but I just cannot handle having this conversation multiple times. Some people have asked about gastric bypass or lap-band, but with my heart the way it is, I'm told no anesthesiologist would put me under. So, the old fashioned way will be my path. I hope tha...
