DEVELOP Fort Hare Residency. Dates: 20 September 2009 1. Venue: University of Fort Hare, Alice, Eastern Cape. A call for applicants was made to all Eastern Cape artists at the end of July 2009,and 25 applications were received. I finally put the windows together, I had to do some DIY, but they turned out really well and they are very successful works however I still need to decide how to exhibit them. How RIACT acquired the fence. How RIACT acquired the fence. The majority of the saved fencing became an integral part of his graduate exhibition ‘The Trojan Horse’ as a 7m installation entitled ‘Aspire’. The work was chosen for the Spier Contemporary 2010 and re-erected as ‘Nelson’s Column’ due to its positioning outside the Cape Town city hall where Nelson Mandela gave his freedom speech after being released from 27 years of incarceration.
