TRAVEL VAN WORLD: June 2014
http://travelvanworld.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, 28 June 2014. We realised that the bridge was on our route back to Le Havre,so we had to pay a visit.its situated in a town called Benouville and we arrived and parked up at the cafe Gondree for breakfast. This building was made famous as it was the first house in France to be liberated by the British Army on the 5/6 June 1944.The 6th Airbourne Division, which was commanded by Major John Howard, arrived in gliders and recaptured the bridge. The cafe is still run by the Gondree family. We left it a...

We have managed two nights Wildcamping in North Kent though. The eberspacher was welcome as it was quite nippy at night, but loverly and sunny in the daytime. I have managed to fit the battery monitor that I bought recently though. Its a nassa BM1.The kit and fitting instructions are very comprehensive. It was really quick and easy to fit, with no extra bits needed. I havn't worked out everything it does yet though! This is the new...

TRAVEL VAN WORLD: January 2014
http://travelvanworld.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, 18 January 2014. This post is purely about bulb changing in the headlamp unit.If like me you don't have a manual it can be a bit daunting as it's pretty near inpossible to remove any of the bulbs with the headlamp unit in situ. A quick post on the SBMCC ( thanks Kev) and it all became clear.I took a few photo's while I was at it.Doesn't take long once you know what to do. First (after opening the bonnet)! When I fitted it all back together I used copper grease on the screws/bolts.This stops...

TRAVEL VAN WORLD: April 2014
http://travelvanworld.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, 20 April 2014. I've made the worktop from a piece of 15mm birch ply.It was quite weighty until the holes for the sink and hob were cut out.To make it look thicker, some strips of 15mm ply have been glued round the underneath edges that will been seen. After rounding off the corners with a router,it's had a light sand and a coat of finishing oil. Next job is to rebuild the frame work to house the oven grill. Sunday, 13 April 2014. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Sunny South Coast, United Kingdom. Theres...
