One family's journey through the medical nightmare of Lyme disease. Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Now that we're home and in recovery mode, I would say absolutely. This was a life-changing experience and I am so grateful we were able to be a part of it! Whenever someone in our family sees a rainbow, we're reminded of Grampy. This rainbow made me laugh. Of course he was there! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget. Canadian Lyme Disease Foundation. 5 Minutes for Special Needs.

http://asliceoflyme.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
A Slice of Lyme. 25 Random Things About Me. Friday, July 27, 2012. Seeing Right Through Me. For the past several years, I've found myself stumbling into old friends at the most random of moments, and have learned something that I have come to discover, every Lyme Patient knows: I LOOK FINE. It's surprising, but this wasn't always. I will forever be grateful to him for writing this. I barely remember anything that happened during that last couple of months in 2007, and without it, I would never know w...

A Slice of Lyme. 25 Random Things About Me. Friday, June 15, 2012. Crossing the Celebrity "Red Tape" Divide. Those of you who've read my previous post, "Taking the Initiative For Inanna House,". Would know that for the past few months I've literally exhausted myself in an attempt to raise funds for this amazing healing facility. There is a very prudent and heartfelt reason for this kind of idiocy however, and it is this: Unlike The American Cancer Society, Chronic Lyme Disease Patients really don't have ...

A Slice of Lyme: Inspirational Videos
http://asliceoflyme.blogspot.com/p/inspirational-videos.html
A Slice of Lyme. 25 Random Things About Me. I can't tell you how many times I've watched this video. Some of the symptoms she describes after having her stroke are uncannily similar to those I have experienced in the past with Lyme; and.the best part - IT GIVES ME HOPE! After 8 years of therapy, this woman has made a FULL and lasting recovery, and to top it all off, she has an amazingly beautiful, heart-felt message to spread as a result of her experience. Although it is not unique to ONLY Lyme patients,...

A Slice of Lyme. 25 Random Things About Me. Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Lyme on the Brain: Part 2 - Hemispheres. Although I REALLY hate Advertisements.(especially those for "luxury items"), I DO have to give props to the person who created this particular advertising campaign.Well Done Sir! It's interesting to me how most people don't realize that they are essentially walking around with two very different. Right Brained Vs. Left Brained. Dominant in, this is the easiest way I've ever came across of findi...

A Slice of Lyme. 25 Random Things About Me. Thursday, February 16, 2012. Against all common knowledge, this woman ascertained that not only were the sutures of the cranial bones NOT fused, but that they even (gasp! Moved minutely in a rhythmic fashion to accommodate the fluid pressure created by the production of cerebrospinal fluid in the 3rd and 4th ventricles of the brain. A Slice of Lyme: Priceless...

A Slice of Lyme. 25 Random Things About Me. Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Why are you building me a house? A woman once suspiciously asked me, as if Habitat for Humanity held some kind of monetary gain for its' participants that she was blatantly unaware of. I noticed the confusion in those guarded, untrusting eyes of hers, a look that forced me to look away for a moment and re-examine my motives. WellI think it's mostly because I can. Have prevented it from ever surfacing. The Wise Woman's Stone. To avoid...

A Slice of Lyme. 25 Random Things About Me. Thursday, May 31, 2012. Taking The Initiative for Inanna House. Success comes to the person who does Today what you were thinking about doing Tomorrow. I remember looking at people who fundraised for various causes, and found myself curiously wondering at their passion, their dedication and, of course, their perseverance. I would look at them and think,"Jeez! What on EARTH lit a fire under that guy's ass! What happened to them? The only thing I was capable of f...
