August 1-3, I had the pleasure of being involved in the shooting of a short independent film shot and set in Chicago and written, produced, and directed by my friend Splotchy. I was the sound recordist on the project, operating the boom mic, the mixer, and audio electronics stuff like that. It was an opening and a great learning experience for me. Saturday, December 26, 2009. There's My Photo Theremin. My brother gave me this for Xmas. It's an Electro-Faustus EF102 Photo Theremin. It's like a traditional theremin. But instead of interfering with radio signals you play with the amount of light reaching a photo sensor. Less light reaching the sensor results in a lower pitch, more light a higher pitch.
