CHURCH DIARY - LINKS. Every two years around July 20th we celebrate our Patron Saints Day with a Patronal Festival, where we open up the church to visitors for most of the weekend. As the years progress we try to mark the event every year but with less grandeose ideas to reduce the enormous effort that usually goes into these events.

St Margaret's tale is one that is thought to be largely fictitious hence the Apocryphal descriptions probably due in most part to the dragon element of the tale and the lack of authentication. Part of her story involves her meeting the devil in the form of a dragon, being swallowed by the dragon, and then escaping safely when the cross she carried irritated the dragon s innards; this accounts for this virgin s association with pregnancy, labour, and childbirth.
