Waiting for Hair: The Toll of Chemotherapy and Cancer – Stacie Chevrier

https://staciechevrier.com/2016/02/10/waiting-for-hair-the-toll-of-chemotherapy-and-cancer

Waiting for Hair: The Toll of Chemotherapy and Cancer. February 10, 2016. September 27, 2016. As featured on curetoday.com. My impatient husband is waiting for me to finish doing my hair. We’re meeting friends for dinner and already running late. This used to be a regular scene at my house on any given weekend night. Free at last from the heat of a Nashville summer. She gave her opinion and followed it up with, It’ll give you crazy diarrhea and it’s the most toxic but you won’t lose your hair. I was shoc...

A Vacation from Cancer – Stacie Chevrier

https://staciechevrier.com/2016/03/31/a-vacation-from-cancer

A Vacation from Cancer. March 31, 2016. January 26, 2017. As featured on curetoday.com. For eight full days, we pretended as if it never happened. I read four books, napped under a palm tree, swam in the warm Caribbean Sea and tipped the beach waiter enough that I never saw the empty bottom of my drink. My husband played hours of beach volleyball and kept a diet of fresh tropical fruits. Both of us played and rested hard. It was absolutely glorious. To read more of my Cure articles, click here. https://staciechevrier.com/2016/10/06/100th-post

October 6, 2016. October 3, 2016. This is an exciting and special day not only because it marks one year since my liver resection surgery, but also because this post number 100 on my blog! What started out as a way to keep in touch when my husband and I moved to China has turned into a resource for cancer survivors and illness sufferers. Oh and in-between, I chronicled six months of living in France. What a ride! Thank you for reading. Here’s to the next 100! 2014, 2015 and 2016. My Night in a Brothel.

2017: Overcoming Addiction & Being Present – Stacie Chevrier

https://staciechevrier.com/2017/01/11/2017-overcoming-addiction-being-present

2017: Overcoming Addiction and Being Present. January 11, 2017. January 12, 2017. It seems like many people were happy to bid adieu to 2016. As for me, not even the disappointment of a surprise surgery, putting my dog to sleep and the election outcome could trump the train wreck of my 2015, so I’m going to declare the year pretty darn awesome. I travelled to the Dominican Republic. Where I walked 258 miles to fulfill a dream of completing the Camino de Santiago. In April, I preformed at the Bluebird Cafe.

A Lesson in Dutch Philosophy – Stacie Chevrier

https://staciechevrier.com/2017/01/04/a-lesson-in-dutch-philosophy

A Lesson in Dutch Philosophy. January 4, 2017. January 18, 2017. Fabien and I rarely exchange gifts for Christmas and usually opt for a trip together. Since we were already on the east side of the pond, it was the perfect opportunity to check Amsterdam off the bucket list. And since the Chevriers are pack animals, the immediate “beautiful family” members joined. Instead of the play by play, let’s chat about what makes the city what it isbikes, canals and adult indulgences. Risking our lives in Vondelpark.

The Breast Cancer Oral History Project. My Little Bs Have the Big C. A Breast Cancer Blog For Young Women. The Greatest Role I’ll Ever Play. July 16, 2015. The tension in the air is palpable. The Breakdown – Diary of a Fighter

https://yourworthyopponent.wordpress.com/2015/11/23/the-breakdown

Diary of a Fighter. I am a worthy opponent…. July 4, 2015. It was 5am in the morning. Nothing filling the rooms but my thoughts and darkness. I had never felt so alone, helpless or scared. It was like someone took out the right block in a game of Jenga, and that was the one that made the pillar fall. What if I’m not strong enough to handle whatever comes next? Who would miss me? Who would remember me? What about my nieces and nephews? I told this part of my journey to let you know that it is okay to have...
