Standing up for Down Syndrome. Zaterdag 4 april 2015. Leander is nearly five and not particularly streetwise. We stayed indoors for many years. The safety of four walls and a door was important. It takes a lot of energy to go somewhere with Leander. If you turn around and walk back he protests. If you reverse the car or buggy he protests and if you don't strap him to the buggy or your wrist expect to run after him in all directions and into areas not meant for public access.
