From Demo to Done. Friday, August 8, 2014. Rented an excavator to start making the trenches for the drainage setup. We have quite the trenches going. Pallet bridge, only one was used on a dangerous crossing, but it was a good picture opt. Massive pile of dirt. Hole along the side of the house. This way we can fix the concrete. From Demo to Done. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. So we had an oops. The sandstone foundation that was nicely disguised by a wall got a hole in it and water built up behind it and pushed the wall until it caved. Behind the wall was more plaster and lath then sandstone. We also got rid of ALL the concrete from the patio out of the yard and made the city haul it away. (This took about 3 piles of the size pictured below, missed the first one). Then comes the layering! First the black plastic:.

From Demo to Done. Sunday, September 14, 2014. We've known for some time how bad the previous owners were in regards to doing anything right. The roof job reaffirmed that assessment. It also confirmed my absolute terror of high places and extension ladders. Oh, and we found a bunch of yellow jackets, which is the only reason I went onto the roof to help be lookout so Kevin could work. The rotten piece that need to be replace, the first learning of poor decking/ construction. Pretty new shingles :).

From Demo to Done. Tuesday, November 12, 2013. With some parental help we got a lot of the upstairs's insulation completed and tonight we completed it. There was still a lot of junk left over upstairs and that all went out the window. It was then loaded up and in the truck and hauled to the dump. It was 1740 lbs worth of wood. This also meant we got rid of those timbers that once held up the kitchen floor. The remaining pictures show Kevin's awesome framing job for the closet and the upstairs's register.
