About Steeped in Tea. About the Tea Lover. Black Tea, Oolong & Pu-erh. Green and White Tea. Always remember that the strength of tea is a product of how much tea is used. Over-steeping tea will create a bitter flavour. On average, one teaspoon of tea is used for one cup. Be sure to check labels for slight alterations. For stronger tea, add more tea leaves and for weaker remove some leaves. Do not increase or decrease steeping time. Most tea leaves can be re-steeped after first use. Enter your comment here.
