This is our way of keeping you up to date on our little blessings! Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Mike and I flew to Chicago this past weekend! It was 18 degrees, mostly overcast except for sunny Sat. downtown which worked out perfectly. Friday night we had date night at Gene and Georgetti's for some fabulous steaks. When we got there Mike's brother, Ralphie, had a bottle of champagne delivered to our table. What a nice surprise (thanks RIII)! Here are a few cool shots of the buildings and sky line downtown.

It was an amazing 5 days with them. We celebrated Mike's Birthday, enjoyed some yummy Honduran food, saw some amazing sights and also some very unfortunate situations. It makes you feel so proud to live in the United States where it is safe to walk down the street! A view from the back of their casa! The city view from their backyard!

Sunshine and Momma: November 2013
http://sunshineandmomma.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
The random thoughts and happenings in the life of a single Mom and her daughter. Sunday, November 3, 2013. As I mentioned earlier. My goal for October 2013 was to run three half marathons. October is over, and so are my three races. Each one was different in its own way, and in many ways surprised me. The first race, my friend Jen ended up running with me, her husband was running the full marathon that day. I was sore probably through Wednesday after the 2nd race, and was anxious about pain on the final ...

The random thoughts and happenings in the life of a single Mom and her daughter. Tuesday, September 17, 2013. I am sure I say this every year, but I honestly cannot believe you are another year older. 12! This summer I wrote about how fierce. You are. But you are also joy. You were so excited to start school this year, and you still get excited to tell me about something new you are learning in school. You bounded out of the first Social of the year all excited that you asked two boys to danc...You recen...

Sunshine and Momma: A Polite STFU?
http://sunshineandmomma.blogspot.com/2013/10/a-polite-stfu.html
The random thoughts and happenings in the life of a single Mom and her daughter. Tuesday, October 15, 2013. I read those words and I thought what a horrible horrible comment. I am sure it was meant to be supportive and encouraging, but I read that as. you aren't ready. you have potential to get a job. This broken heart, the miscarried child, the young Mom who died from cancer? The person who didn't live along enough to receive an organ transplant? You're better off with out him/it's his loss. Now unl...

Sunshine and Momma: Fear.
http://sunshineandmomma.blogspot.com/2013/08/fear.html
The random thoughts and happenings in the life of a single Mom and her daughter. Monday, August 19, 2013. Like many people it seems, I'm going through a rough patch. Nothing horrible or monumental, just a time when the negative voices in my head are so much louder than all the positive in the world, and I'll tell you those damn negative voices are hard to silence- stubborn and persistent little buggers! Year for me, and I want to keep that going in a positive manner. I've written about him before. But th...

Sunshine and Momma: December 2012
http://sunshineandmomma.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
The random thoughts and happenings in the life of a single Mom and her daughter. Monday, December 31, 2012. Forty One and 2012. So as a huge non-sequitor:. Winter seemed long and icy to me. Not a lot of snow, never got to use the Cross Country skis I bought. Spring was busy. That's what I remember, being constantly on the go from place to event to place. I love fall. Perhaps it is the New Englander in me? But you know, as I composed this in my head, that's how I do much of my writing compose it in my hea...
