Change Your Latitude

Tuesday, February 10, 2009. Well finally something to write about. So not much going on since Thanksgiving out here. Nice weather, went home to CT, came back to celebrate Christmas here with a morning waterfall/beach hike and some fresh coconuts on the beach with Jason, Angela and of course Katrina. Uneventful New Year's Eve included diner with a bunch of friends and some laughs. Got a new President and the same problems. I'm certain they'll soon be either replaced by, or in addition to, new ones. I went...

Change Your Latitude: March 2008

http://www.stephenandkatrinaweaver.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html

Thursday, March 27, 2008. Ok, since KW left island, there has been 3 earthquakes in the last 26hrs that were 5.0 or higher and epicentered within a few miles from here. I think KWs departure has angered the Chamorran Volcano god. I need to find a virgin to sacrifice to keep the building from swaying around. I'll let everybody know when I find one. Wednesday, March 26, 2008. Shake, Rattle and Scream Like A Little Girl. Friday, March 21, 2008. Australia - Port Douglas - March 2008. Diving the Great Barrier...

Friday, September 5, 2008. Traveling Home for Our September Visit. The nauseous feeling finally left me when I heard the landing gear being pulled up into the plane as Tokyo was growing smaller. Then it was time for 14 hours of good food, lay out seats and the new on-demand video/music system (built into each seat). Yup, I think I got lucky this time. Now it's training time in Houston and I'm just waiting until we can get on another plane and head up to CT to see you all! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Change Your Latitude: August 2008

http://www.stephenandkatrinaweaver.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 10, 2008. Stroll maybe the wrong word.hike, sweat, climb, sweat, walk. Yeah, that's more like it. Stephen took me up to the Nimitz Hill area (that's the hill/road he likes to ride his bike up and down and up and down.and this area is where he's been mountain biking before) for a Sunday hike. Sunday, August 3, 2008. It's an Empty-Box-of-Tissue Kind of Morning :.(. I was really looking forward to playing with her when I went home next month. I hadn't seen her since Christmas time, when I...

Monday, February 25, 2008. Things that go boom in the night.or day. Stealth Bomber crashed on takeoff from Guam a couple days ago. I had nothing to do with it, but I can think of better ways to blow 1.2 Billion dollars. The 2 pilots are reported to be safe after ejecting, but I assume will have to pay off $600 Million each over the course of several years. They are rumored to be coordinating a Brownie-Bake sale. $20 Million per brownie. We walked around a different section of Ubud for a few hours, scored...

A travel log of the Tropical Pacific, Asia and Australia- Enjoy! Thursday, June 27, 2013. Kyra and Ramona dancing to Bluegrass music at the Paddler in Fort Collins. After the Colorado Rockies game - they won, but who cares, we were rooting for the Cardinals. I think they played in Tampa Bay that night. First Rafting trip. Family shot 1/2 way down the upper Colorado River. Below-We took a hike with Sarah and her trusty dog. Kyra and Rosco found this nice rock to rest upon. Black Canyon National Park.

Guammy McGuamerton: July 2010

http://guamhead.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

A travel log of the Tropical Pacific, Asia and Australia- Enjoy! Friday, July 30, 2010. Large Torii at the entrance to the Meiji Shrine. The logs used to build this torii are said to have come from a 1,500 year old cypress tree on Mount Tandai in Taiwan, which surprised me due to my previous held opinion that everything that came out of Taiwan was plastic. Who knew! We stayed near the world's busiest train station - Sinjuku. The book we had said about 2 million people pass through there every day&#46...

A travel log of the Tropical Pacific, Asia and Australia- Enjoy! Thursday, February 12, 2009. I was lucky enough to tack on a few extra days off on both sides of my vacation this month which enabled us to have 3 weeks to explore Southeast Asia. We started in Thailand where we worked our way through Bangkok, Chang Mai, Phuket and the Phi Phi Islands and then capped it off with a refreshing dose of reality during our week long stay in Cambodia. Below are some pictures. Your comments are welcome! Bayon Temp...

A travel log of the Tropical Pacific, Asia and Australia- Enjoy! Saturday, September 27, 2008. Here are some pictures, we didn't take too many on this trip. One of the several Shrines we saw. Temple with Geisha posing at bottom. We had to be pretty stealth to get any Geisha shots. They are few and far between and don't really like you taking pictures of them. Temple in Gion, the Geisha district. Friday, September 5, 2008. One of many pasta meals on wheels that week. The Olgas at dusk. This place was beau...

http://guamhead.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

A travel log of the Tropical Pacific, Asia and Australia- Enjoy! Thursday, September 13, 2012. Here are some things we've been doing in no particular order. Kyra got a bike for her birthday, but I think she likes the helmet the best. We visited my parents in Florida in January. We had lots of beach time. Kyra likes to play in the sand with Pa Pa. We do lots of painting. Van Gogh is still her favorite. Here Kyra delves deep into her blue period. We spend lots of time at the zoo. Colorado lake with mom.

A travel log of the Tropical Pacific, Asia and Australia- Enjoy! Thursday, March 11, 2010. These are really big masks hanging on a fence for no apparent reason. Kyra liked them. The Clarke Quay Turkish Ice Cream stand. Which served up a pretty good scoop as well as our afternoon meeting place. The Spanish would be quite offended and rightly so, but the food was spot on. A travel log of the Tropical Pacific, Asia and Australia- Enjoy! Friday, November 21, 2008. Highlights from this trip include but are not limited to:. Swimming with Manta Rays:. Trying to take an Toyota Echo off roading:. Betel Nut and Sakau Root:. On top of Sokehs Mountain, in the background is Pohnpei airport. Notice the runway takes up every inch of land coast to coast. Don't land long here! Its always good to take time to stop and smell the flowers. Nan Madol. How'd they build that? I Have a Friend.

A travel log of the Tropical Pacific, Asia and Australia- Enjoy! Tuesday, December 16, 2008. Thailand. Errr Uhh.New Zealand. Here's what happened in a nutshell: early on November 26, we arrived at the Tokyo airport and awaited our connecting flight to Bangkok. After having our flight delayed 1 hour, 3 hours, and then indefinitely (awesome! Avoid this experience if at all possible. Most of NZ looks like this, just add 40 million sheep and you'll get the picture. Zorbing is one of those ridiculous things t...

Guammy McGuamerton: Kona-Hawaii

http://guamhead.blogspot.com/2013/10/kona-hawaii.html

A travel log of the Tropical Pacific, Asia and Australia- Enjoy! Thursday, October 17, 2013. We did lots of swinging in the water. Beaches like this one are very typical on the Kona coast this time of year. Kyra spent lots of time in flippers. However most of it was on dry land. Vicki exiting the water after a snorkel. "Kyra, it was amazing, so many fish and turtles! The only way to snorkel, Vicki with the sea to herself. We saw lots of turtles sunning themselves. Here are a few. No Green Flash. :(.

This has been a very eventful month for you, baby girl! You can now sit up all by yourself! You can put your paci in your mouth, and you love playing with it. You have both of your middle bottom teeth in. They are too cute when you smile :) I think the top middle ones are coming next! You give the sweetest hugs I've ever received!

Thursday, August 27, 2009. Stephen celebrated his 28th birthday last Monday! Deschutes River Rafting Trip. Well it has been a very busy summer and I can't believe it is almost over! Towards the end of July we went on a 3 day rafting trip with my family and some family friends. It was a great trip and thankfully no one fell out. I think the whole trip on the river was about 56 miles. Here are some pictures . . . Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Tuesday, June 16, 2009. This was from this past weekend at Stephen's...
