Wednesday, November 19, 2014. This morning I had the opportunity of observing the two year old class at All About Kids. The director wanted me to watch the teacher’s interactions with the children and with other teachers and help find ways for the teachers, to be a little bit better. Two year olds scare me! Preschoolers also can play in a cooperative way and they semi get along better with one another…two year olds, nope! I looked up from my notes and said “hi”. Wednesday, June 10, 2015. A couple of weeks ago Rylie and Tyson came over to play while Lindsay went to the Temple. Ever since they were young children, they both like to go behind the complex and feed the ducks or throw weeds into the canal. Now this "river" is not very deep and lately there hasn't been much water flowing down it so, I don't get to worried about these guys falling in. This is the first year I just watched as the kids, who were up to the challenge, carve their pumpkin into a Jack-o-lantern. I definitely love this new role as mom-supervisor instead of mom-slave. I enjoyed all of the benefits of pumpkin carving, which are not really many, and didn't have to stick my hand in any guts.
