Sessions at Stepping Stones. Stepping Stones is open during the school year and has various sessions for children depending on age and developmental needs. Each session has been given a name. Monday 9.30am until 11am and Friday 9.30am until 11am are for the youngest children, babies and the children requiring enhanced sensory support. Facilities at Stepping Stones. As part of each session the children are encouraged to spend a short time outside in all weathers. The children love to play on the train which was donated by local firm Nutricia many years ago. The Sensory room is a stimulating environment in which children can explore using their senses. Children benefit from using the room to develop the use of their senses in order to learn about the world around them. A visual, auditory, and tactile environment and so much more.

We hold regular team around the child meetings to ensure we work co-operatively for each child and their family. We also have a team of experienced voluntary helpers who help out as Assistant Playleaders mainly on a Monday morning and Friday morning.
