Who is St Martin? Who is St Martin? St Martin's is a working church serving the outer city estates of Bilborough and Strelley in Nottingham. By the late 1990’s St Martin’s was in urgent need of repair. But thanks to lots of hard work and charitable funding the medieval church was restored between 2010 and 2015. He began his career as a Roman soldier, but one day he saw a freezing beggar in the street. He cut his cloak in two, and gave half to the beggar.
