My Gap Year Travels...

My Gap Year Travels. Sunday, 3 April 2011. Days 55 - 57: Pre-Inca Trail Cusco and Ollantaytambo. Day 55: Puno – Cusco. The bus ride was uneventful, again we were moving through similar landscapes. Although we did watch the film Taken. Which is awesome. Its utter crap, but its awesome and I wasn't in any mood for Fight Club or Shutter Island. I slept most of the second half of the journey but woke up before we arrived in Cusco. Which is good. Day 57: Cusco – Ollantaytambo. Today, for the second time this ...

My Gap Year Travels...: October 2010

http://stouty108.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

My Gap Year Travels. Thursday, 28 October 2010. Can anyone lend me a fiver? Its been an interesting week. Tuesday I walked from Lloyds TSB at the top of town to HSBC down the bottom with £3000 in my pocket. It was better than being charged £30 to transfer it electronically haha. Yesterday I booked South America, Flights and insurance =D. And this is the rough idea of what I'm doing =D:. Thursday 27th January, Fly BA direct to Rio de Janeiro arriving at 10pm local time =D. 28th, 29th, 30th = PARTYYYYYY.

My Gap Year Travels. Monday, 20 September 2010. So this is my gap year. This first post will outline what I'm going to do this year =). Anyway. Shit happens. Onwards and Upwards. Basically, this year I am going to go on 2 big trips, which are the focus of the blog, although I will post about my Uni offers and whatever else comes up. That trip will cost me around £6000 including all the kit i've got to get but it should be well worth it =D. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Distance Travelled by flight: 9272km.

My Gap Year Travels...: Days 45 - 48: Sucre

http://stouty108.blogspot.com/2011/03/days-45-48-sucre.html

My Gap Year Travels. Tuesday, 29 March 2011. Days 45 - 48: Sucre. Day 45: Potosi – Sucre. We woke to the news that all tsunami warnings had been lifted and, for the most part, the evacuations of the Chilean and Peruvian coast had been unn. In the evening we had planned to have a night out but turning up for dinner at 7 we found Julia and Sergio already very drunk. Why would they do that? If I came for that I'd been in Thailand. and I'd probably have. We headed back via a few mini markets where I bought s...

My Gap Year Travels...: March 2011

http://stouty108.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

My Gap Year Travels. Thursday, 31 March 2011. Days 49 - 51: La Paz. Day 49: La Paz. I slept for a total of 15 minutes between 4:45 and 5:05 whilst Sympathy for the Devil was playing on my iPod. My seat was uncomfortable despite its width and how horizontal it was and the music from the drivers cabin could be heard clear as day. It put me in a bad mood for our entry to La Paz. Day 50: La Paz. If it even made the 6 o'clock news, its not like anything happened to any British people. After half an hour of ho...

My Gap Year Travels...: Days 52 - 54: Puno & Lake Titicaca

http://stouty108.blogspot.com/2011/04/days-52-54-puno-lake-titicaca.html

My Gap Year Travels. Sunday, 3 April 2011. Days 52 - 54: Puno and Lake Titicaca. Day 52: La Paz – Puno. After dinner we went straight to bed as we had a reasonably early start at 7am, although on this tour 7am would seem like a luxury, not that I mind too much, I'm five hours behind home and when BST comes into play I'll be 6 hours behind. That's the perfect amount to really screw up my sleep pattern upon my return to green old England. Day 53: Puno – Lake Titicaca. Fernando seems to like his tips, he wa...

The Stouty Blog | For the love of beer

The Stouts So Far…. For the love of beer. Matt’s Sleepy time Belgian Imperial Stout: Almost Matthew’s perfect beer. July 19, 2014. As a follow up to the last post, here is a review on one of Beaus star beers: Matt’s Sleepy Time. I received a bottle of this beer from my dad for my birthday. I think he chose it because of it’s name and the style of beer, which are right up my alley! What about the specs? Matt’s sleepy time is a Belgian Imperial Stout that is. The packaging says yes! The sum of the parts.
