Nikola On The Run: May 2012
http://nikola-on-the-run.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Nikola On The Run. Saturday, May 19, 2012. A month in Bhutan. That they truly love and adore their king. From the stories I have heard he is a very warm king, and he takes time to care for his people. Immediately I felt the cold, fresh mountain air. Paro is situated in 2450 meters above sea level, which actually gave me some altitude problems. In the shape of dizziness and motion sickness was never far away when driving. Showing that all your actions in life have a far-reaching effect. Blessings from the...

Nikola On The Run: December 2007
http://nikola-on-the-run.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Nikola On The Run. Wednesday, December 05, 2007. After packing all our belongings we waited to see if the boats were going out today, the waves this morning were 8 meters in height, so the skipper was waiting for the winds to calm a little. The snow was pouring down, thick, wet snowflakes fell heavily on the ground. We did go out on a boat trip to search for the orca one last time before we had to head home to Denmark. And the visibility was very poor, so we didn't find the orca at all. Even though I did...

Nikola On The Run: October 2008

Nikola On The Run. Friday, October 10, 2008. Oliver - Home of wine making. After spending almost two months on the coast, it has been quite the contrast to get to Oliver in the Okanagan Valley where terms like desert, orchards, and winemaking rules the topic on everybodys lips, especially around late September and early October where testing, tasting, picking and crushing the grapes takes up most of the winemakers and the farmers time. Every direction you look, you will find row after row of vineyards.

Nikola On The Run: August 2009
http://nikola-on-the-run.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Nikola On The Run. Sunday, August 30, 2009. I hope you all are ready for yet another round of wildlife tours and tales from the small town of Port McNeill. I am going back for more! This time armed with not one, not two, but three brandnew harddisks, so this time I am hoping to return with all my pictures instead of a shameful 20% of them. I will be staying with Angela as I did last year, and I am so excited about getting out on the water on 'The Sea Otter' looking for whales, bears and eagles.

Nikola On The Run. Sunday, July 15, 2007. Idag fik Little Italy, Chinatown, Soho og The Village besøg af mig.

Nikola On The Run. Monday, July 28, 2008. Port McNeill is a town on the north-eastern coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, with a population of app. 3000 people. The town is a popular tourism destination during the summer, with a large population of animals; Orca, humpback whales, eagles, black Bear, Cougar, Deer and Elk. The people in town are probably some of the most hospitable I have ever met, especially Angela Smith, www.orcaadventures.com and. The 'Rainbow Chaser' watertaxi. A sockeye salmo...

Nikola On The Run: November 2011
http://nikola-on-the-run.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Nikola On The Run. Friday, November 11, 2011. 5 weeks is not a very long time. Especially when you are having fun! Every Thursday morning we said goodbye to old volunteers leaving, and every friday new volunteers arrived. The in and out of people all the time gives this place a vibrant atmosphere, where friendships are built, some strong and for life, and others are easily forgotten. I have been peed on pooped on, bit, scratched and hissed at, and I loved every second of it! Herman and Jannie the baboon.

Nikola On The Run: September 2009
http://nikola-on-the-run.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Nikola On The Run. Sunday, September 20, 2009. Today has been a complete and absolute dream day with the orcas. Breaching is not a particular common behavior for the Orca in this area, but we had a day with lots of spyhopping and lots of breaching. And no rain! It looks so easy for these amazingly beautiful animals to jump out of the water, but truth is, it takes a lot of energy for them to jump out of the water like that. But they came back with a vengeance today -. And lots of action! We are leaving fo...

Nikola On The Run. Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Tofino - A great getaway. Tofino is in the Tsunami Hazard Zone, so they have evacuation routes on the on the road away from the danger zones. That and lots of signs with warnings of cougar and wolf in the area. Didn´t see one single cougar or wolf. Beautiful sunset Long Beach. After leaving the northern part of Vancouver Island I went to Tofino for a couple of days. Tofino is a great little town on the westcoast of Vancouver Island. Surfers on Long Beach.

Nikola On The Run. Saturday, July 29, 2006. Vinmarker saa langt oejet raekker i alle retninger. Fersken-, kirsebaer-, og aebleplantager alle vegne. Jeg har overhovedet ikke lyst til...
