Wednesday, December 25, 2013. Materialists Installation at The Painting Center. On a balmy Sunday afternoon, I met Art Guerra and Anders Knutsson on Greene Street in Soho, put my big painting in the back of their truck and they took it to Chelsea. We've been planning this for months and the day of installation finally arrived. Thank you nature for such a wonderful day to install a painting exhibition in NYC. The other paintings I brought were all easy to move to NYC so there was no need to restretch them.

Saturday, August 30, 2014. One of the ideas that came to me while in this giant studio from the Tamaqua Elks Lodge and the Tamaqua Artist in Residence. Program, was to make a suite based on the positions of the thrones that used to be in this room for meetings. There are four Thrones, that includes the Exalted Ruler's Throne. Each of the paintings is 48 X 36 Inches and is Acrylic, on Acrylic Yarn, on Acrylic Coated Wood Chassis. Acrylic on Acrylic Yarn on Acrylic Coated Wood Chassis. Links to this post.

Saturday, July 12, 2014. Visions of more paintings haunt me while I visit with my newest painting, a 48X36 inch painting I refer to as Throne 1. Being that I have been painting in the Elks Lodge in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, I have been influenced by the studio itself and the history that has taken place in that room. While viewing this particular new painting. I keep having visions of more and more paintings. Https:/ www.indiegogo.com/projects/jeffrey-collins-art-residency-in-tamaqua-pennsylvania. Please do...

Sunday, April 26, 2015. I've also been working on my second fluorescent painted chassis, the first was orange, this next one is red. They sure do and will make for one heck of a contrast to what they will be paired with. The iphone I have doesn't do well for they types of colors, so bear with me. The painting is not a landscape format as it is shown here, I prefer doing portrait format paintings. It's such a wonderful feeling to make new paintings, to create what one has never seen before, it's fun.
