I am a nervous flyer. I don’t like being trapped in a small box for very long times, therefore I was very anxious about the nine hour flight to London. I figured I’d be so nervous I wouldn’t be able to sleep so I prepared a slew of activities: color books, reading, and school work. I needn’t have bothered! I took an Advil PM and fell asleep for all but two hours of the flight. For more follow the link to: https:/ zemaphotography.wordpress.com/2012/06/04/arriving-in-london-and-the-flight/. July 4, 2012. July 4th: A Trip to Hampton Court Palace and Shakespeare’s Globe. To get to Hampton Court Palace, we took a boat that ferried us up the Thames to the gates of the Palace. To prevent any excessive celebrating amongst the class, we had one of our last excursions as a class to Hampton Court Palace for the day. Prior to visiting Hampton Court, the most fancy building I’d been to was the Governor’s Palace. For those of you who didn’t know, Hampton Court Palace. Exploring the grounds and interior...

Hittin’ the Road, a reflection on traveling abroad. | Zema Photography

September 7, 2012. Hittin’ the Road, a reflection on traveling abroad. It’s been a couple months since I returned from London. I needed the time to reflect on my travels. I came up with 6 important realizations or experiences that changed my views on the world. 1 My country is not better than any of the others. 2 Americans need to be more culturally aware and respectful of other cultures. 3 The only way to truly embrace yourself is to explore. 4 I really need to learn another language. Paris…my feet hurt. | Zema Photography
https://zemaphotography.wordpress.com/2012/06/30/paris-my-feet-hurt
June 30, 2012. Paris…my feet hurt. Today, two other students and myself booked a one day trip with Golden Tours to Paris, France. It was fantastic…but my feet really hurt now! The trip included Eurostar passes, metro tickets, maps, and a river cruise. The Eurostar was fun. You could see the green hills of England and France roll by. The train travels for about 31 miles in a tunnel while passing under the channel. We were unfortunate to get stuck in seat with little foot room! I tried a chocolate eclair f...

June 27, 2012. Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studio Tour. I’m not trying to be lazy, but I can’t really express in words how awesome the studio tour was in words so I’m going to do another photo essay. I would like to say that if you get the opportunity to go….GO! It’s well worth the money to travel to the studio and to visit. Bring some extra pocket change if you want any souvenirs. https://zemaphotography.wordpress.com/2012/07/05/an-hour-with-film-director-stephen-frears
July 5, 2012. An Hour with Film Director Stephen Frears. Last thursday, my class had a very special guest, Academy Award nominee British film director Stephen Frears. Frears is known for several films, but for the Americans you’d recognize the following films:. The Queen, High Fidelity, Mrs. Henderson Presents. He is currently in post-production for his current film. Muhammad Ali’s Greatest Fight. I did ask him the following question: What pit-falls do most new filmmakers hit when working in the industry.
