We had a great time exploring the Volcanoes National Park and other beautiful scenery of the island. Kilauea is still a very active volcano. We were able to see the active lava flow into the ocean off of Highway 130 in Kalapana. The lava area is expansive and amazing. Enjoy the photos! Monday, August 04, 2008.

Debbie and I decided that we would take one of the best days of the year and head to the mountains. We decided to go to Maple pass which is a nice day hike about 3 hours from home.
