Sugar coated bits

Monday, November 14, 2016. Tags and more tags. In response to Papertrey's Assembly Line challenge I made two sets of Christmas tags. I made the first set. I overlaid a kraft tag onto a white tag having cut the snowman shape from the kraft tag. Added a little color to him and a little snow to the tag and they were done. Super easy, super cute! But then I had the snowman diecuts sitting there so they needed to be used and I can never have too many tags at the holidays. And so I made these. I know I am.

Sugar coated bits: March 2015

http://sugarcoatedbits.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Red, White, and Blue. We're jumping a bit forward on the calendar this morning with an Independence Day Card. As I had finally gotten around to purchasing est. 1776 it was on my mind and the sketch as CAS(E) this Sketch! Made me think of those waving banners and stars. It's a simple card, just enough to get my feet wet with this set which will likely get more use for promotions and retirements than for the Fourth of July. I hope you enjoy! Monday, March 30, 2015. I love the pink ...

Sugar coated bits: January 2015

http://sugarcoatedbits.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Saturday, January 31, 2015. Today I bring to you a very happy card inspired by the Cure for the Monday Blues. The photo this week is bright, and cheery, and just plain happy. And really what could be better to help fight the gray February weather? I absolutely love the inspiration photo. It makes me want to throw an 80s party! The interpretation is pretty straightforward, but I had to do it. I do not think I am done with this particular piece of inspiration. There may be more to follow. I took two heart ...

Sugar coated bits: Happy Holidays

http://sugarcoatedbits.blogspot.com/2016/10/happy-holidays.html

Friday, October 28, 2016. Today I have a card to share with you inspired by the sketch at MFT and the technique challenge at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown. A lot of old stamps represented here.as in before I got married and had kids old. The snowflakes are embossed with white embossing powder and the sentiment is embossed with red embossing powder. A little silver to add a hint of shine and we're all ready for the holiday. I hope you like it. October 28, 2016 at 10:49 PM. October 29, 2016 at 11:25 AM.

Sugar coated bits: August 2015

http://sugarcoatedbits.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 26, 2015. I'm taking a break from Christmas (though I think I might have all the Christmas cards that have to go in the mail done) to bring you a fall inspired card. I love fall. It has always been my favorite season. There is just so much beauty during that time of year! So when I saw the inspiration at Just Us Girls. I wanted to reach for the colors of fall and leave Christmas behind for a bit. I used the leaves and the fall colors in my card. Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Stamps: PTI (se...

Sugar coated bits: February 2016

http://sugarcoatedbits.blogspot.com/2016_02_01_archive.html

Thursday, February 25, 2016. Today is the 25th so that means it's the day of the monthly Papertrey Ink Blog Hop. I haven't been able to participate for quite some time, but this month's inspiration photo is so pretty and calming I gave it a go. I think it's the colors that have a calming effect on me. So pretty! I paired it with the sketch portion of the challenge at Fusion. Since I needed a little more focus. Combined I made this pretty little card. The bottom is white cardstock with ink stippled onto it.
