In our vegetable section, we pointed out that carrots have sugar. This prompted some angry emails, accusing us of scaring people away from eating their veggies. Here, we offer a bit of perspective, comparing the sugar you get from eating carrots vs. some popular sugary foods and drinks. Note: Our calculations for this section are based on USDA nutritional data for raw carrots, where 100g carrots contains 4.7g sugar. Some numbers are rounded off. Sugars, total: 65g. King Size, 93.3g.
