Pop: February 2008
http://crschwimmer.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 21, 2008. Post Prompt #1: "Who was your first favorite group or singer? How old were you at the time? What was important to you about this music? My first favorite group (as far as I can remember) was Nsync. I was eight years old, and my two best friends bought the Nsync cd for my birthday. It was important because it was my first cd, which was a big deal at the time, and because my two best friends liked the group, so it was one more thing to link us together. Pop: Thank you, thank you very much
http://crschwimmer.blogspot.com/2008/03/thank-you-thank-you-very-much.html
Sunday, March 2, 2008. Thank you, thank you very much. If you look at how stars dance and promote their sexuality today, Elvis' gyrating of the hips seems modest! March 2, 2008 at 11:10 AM. I agree with you in that sense. I feel like our music is kind of at stand still. I mean of course it is still amazing and I love music probably more than any other form of entertainment, but I do think it would be nice to get something new. Ya know? March 2, 2008 at 7:46 PM. sgazpop: February 2008
http://sgazpop.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 25, 2008. All Killer No Filler. In the 6th grade, my favorite band was Sum 41. I liked every single song on their first CD I bought. A year later, they came out with Does This Look Infected? Which only made me like them more. Within a short period of time, my taste for music changed. This was my first introduction to punk rock. As I grew older I didnt enjoy their music as much as I used to, and I began to get into rap and other types of music. Thursday, February 21, 2008. This is a test.

sgazpop: Authentic or all the same, who cares anyway?
http://sgazpop.blogspot.com/2008/04/authentic-or-all-same-who-cares-anyway.html
Tuesday, April 8, 2008. Authentic or all the same, who cares anyway? What is authentic about YOUR teen subculture? Does your generation have anything that it can call it's own? If there is nothing authentic about your culture, discuss how you feel about that. Does this even matter to you? I feel that nothing is “authentic” to my subculture. To me, nothing can be labeled as one person’s generation. This is only because no other culture had this technology before. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Tuesday, May 20, 2008. I think the presentation today went really well and we had a long discussion, which was good. Monday, May 19, 2008. I think our presentation went really well. I think our clips could have been shorter so that our discussion could have been longer, but I'm pretty sure almost everyone talked during class except for maybe 1-2 people who didn't raise their hands. sgazpop: Capital Punishment
http://sgazpop.blogspot.com/2008/05/capital-punishment.html
Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Conservatives say that the death penalty is a punishment that fits the crime; it is neither ‘cruel' nor ‘unusual'. Executing a murderer is the appropriate punishment for taking an innocent life. Liberals say that we should abolish the death penalty. The death penalty is inhumane and is ‘cruel and unusual' punishment. It does not deter crime. Imprisonment is the appropriate punishment. Every execution risks killing an innocent person. Lizzy's Blog: Liberal vs. Conservative
http://lwingels.blogspot.com/2008/05/liberal-vs-conservative.html
Tuesday, May 6, 2008. Liberal vs. Conservative. Conservatives believe in limited government control. They think that people are responsible for themselves. They believe in low taxes for everyone and they want to reduce government subsidized programs for the poor, and they don’t believe the wealthy should be taxed more to subsidize programs for the poor. They believe in the right to life. They believe in faith based government programs and prayer in schools. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Lizzy's Blog: Abortion
http://lwingels.blogspot.com/2008/05/abortion.html
Thursday, May 15, 2008. I believe in pro-choice. I think that abortion is a woman's choice and that the government shouldn't be able to impact it. I think that abortion needs to be legalized because women are going to extremes to have unsafe abortions. I thought it was really interesting and shocking that Romania has the highest death rate and 87% of them are from illegal abortions. I think that abortion is a good option because people make mistakes. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Lizzy's Blog: Gun Control
http://lwingels.blogspot.com/2008/05/gun-control.html
Monday, May 19, 2008. I think that we need to prevent gun violence before it happens. I don't think people shouldn't be able to own guns in certain circumstances, it just needs to be regulated more thoroughly. I think there need to be more things like the Brady Act, which has worked to stop about 400,000 people from buying guns that shouldn't be able to because of a mandated background check.
