We do not recommend renting a car. Parking at the hotels and garages is expensive and street parking is difficult to find. All of the activities we have planned are easily accessible by foot, public transit, or cab. Taking the subway from O'Hare Airport costs $5; getting on the subway at any other station costs $2.25. Additional information on fares and ticket options can be found here. Walk along the lake. Bike along the lake. If it's unseasonably warm, grab your swimsuit and head to Oak Street Beach.

Pass the Yum…. Japanese Robata Grill Deliciousness. 10 October, 2013. There’s still time to enjoy the lingering warmth of summer so I recommend grabbing a seat and a bite at Sumi Robata Bar. The patio is absolutely wonderful, but if the cooler evenings are a bit too chilly, grab a seat at the bar and enjoy the view. This Japanese restaurant uses a robata grill to create unique bites by Chef Gene Kato. The beverage program includes a vast selection of sake, house-blended teas and other wines and spirits.
