For the first time in my life, I feel like we have two presidential candidates that I feel good about. I agree with each of them on some issues and disagree on other issues, but with regards to their character and their passion for making this country better - have we ever seen an election which such great options? I thought, "wow, Cinderella and Smurfette were decades apart, this woman must have been doing cartoon voices for a long time". So, I took this a step further and looked up Lucille Bliss on Wikipedia. I learned that her Cinderella voice work was uncredited in the movie. How would I ever have known this without the Internet? It seems so distant and archaic. I just love the Internet.

Saturday, November 24, 2007. I've joined Weight Watchers. I managed to lose all 30 pounds from my pregnancy with no trouble. I was already back to prepregnancy weight by my 6 week postpartum check up. It's easy to do when you have a fussy baby and no time to eat or sit down. Monday, December 03, 2007. I meant to update this sooner, but well. I didn't. Anyway, I lost 1.2 pounds over Thanksgiving! Not my ultimate goal of 2 pounds, but hey any weight loss over Thanksgiving is good enough for me. I have another weight in tomorrow. We'll see how it goes, I haven't been able to get much exercise in this week. I'm still a little plump in the middle post-baby, although i haven't seen a scale since they forced me on one at my post-partum ob appt (totally cruel). Well read the blog!

Monday, December 10, 2007. Madeleine finally likes her sling. I think it's because she can sit up in it unlike before where she had to be in a cradle-like position (never a favorite of hers). So when she gets fussy I just slip her in there and do things around the house. Only bad thing is she won't let me sit down with it. What a cute little bundle!
