A juried photography exhibition. This year's event was a resounding success. Thank you to all who participated! In 2007 our first show My Mantoloking was a tremendous success. Over 100 photographs were donated, an impressive display was created, and the photos were offered for sale by silent auction during the cocktail party at MYC. Our second show in 2009 followed up that enthusiastic response, with an exhibition entitled Extremely Mantoloking.

The railroad tracks, on the west side of the Church, were removed in 1949. After that, the railroad property reverted to the Downers, the original landowners. In 1952, Lisa Downer, the daughter of Frederick W. Downer, gave the land west of the church and rectory to the church. The church of St. Simon’s has several interesting features. The Tiffany oculus window. The church has many memorials to former parishioners which add a special warmth to the history of St. Simon-by-the-Sea.

Photo show raises $9,000 for repairs to the Bell Tower roof! We had 220 people in attendance for the July 26th Cocktail Party and Silent Auction Fundraiser. The event, called Extremely Mantoloking, was a juried photography exhibit. Local photographers donated photos of their interpretation of the show's Extremely Mantoloking theme which were then sold during the silent auction. The proceeds go to the church to be used for the much needed repairs to the historic Bell Tower. 1st Place Henry Dewing. Jane Po...
