The Toddler Life as I Know It

The Toddler Life as I Know It. The musings of a stay at home mommy of two boys. Life is no longer ordinary! Wednesday, December 10, 2008. Last weekend we purchased a permit to go and cut down our own Christmas tree. What a bargain - only $10.00! I knew that trees would be heavy but this particular tree had a somewhat skinny trunk so I guess I wasn't expecting it to be that. That tree is humongous! For a while we thought it was a bit much but it is growing on us now. On Sunday we had a tree trimming p...

The Toddler Life as I Know It. The musings of a stay at home mommy of two boys. Life is no longer ordinary! Saturday, June 07, 2008. Fun time at the B&O. Last week a friend invited us to join her and her two boys at the B&O train museum here in Baltimore. We got to see a really grand round house and so many cool looking trains. We even had the chance to take a train ride. We climbed on the train, sat in our seats and off we went.then two minutes later it stopped! Posted by Jonah and Jackson's Mom.

The Toddler Life as I Know It. The musings of a stay at home mommy of two boys. Life is no longer ordinary! Wednesday, September 03, 2008. If you have been reading this blog for a while you might have thought that we dropped off the face of the earth. It's been an entire summer and I am just getting around to writing! I guess that relocating halfway across the states does that! I felt it was appropriate that I clean up my little corner of the blogosphere in honor of our move. I guess he's right. Even...

My thoughts and my ideas silly as they might be sewn together in "My Patchwork Quilt". Friday, May 23, 2008. Fun Time with friends. Good friends do wonders for a worn gals soul. These ladies and I have been getting together monthly without our kids and we've had a blast doing lots of fun things. We've gone duckpin bowling, painted pottery, sat in a hot tub, and enjoyed some great food together. I know I"ll miss their company when we leave. They have been just what I needed this past year. My thoughts and my ideas silly as they might be sewn together in "My Patchwork Quilt". Friday, August 31, 2007. It's been a while since I posted here. My family just got back from SD earlier this week, and we had a great time seeing our family, and house hunting. It's hard to be here in Baltimore when we know what is waiting for us. Today I ordered two more books by the same author. I can't wait for them to arrive! What kind of a mother am I? Jonah and Jackson's Mom. Monday, August 6, 2007. Saturday was ...

Amy and Ben: September 2006

http://thedekocks.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, September 27, 2006. We just got 8 5-piece settings of our registered flatware yesterday! We were so stoked to use it. We'll post pics later on today of our dinner last night. We used our new flatware, nice plates, drank some wine, and ate a delish meal (if I do say so myself.) On a rather exciting note, we are to receive 6 salad plates and the covered veggie platter from our registry later this week! It's nice to see the set come together, piece-by-piece. Well, that's all for now. We'll ke...

My thoughts and my ideas silly as they might be sewn together in "My Patchwork Quilt". Thursday, June 28, 2007. A few weeks ago I was surfing the Internet and on one mommy blog. I came across a "freebie". That I thought I'd try to go after. The freebie was a free. I didn't really think it was real but today in the mail, I received one as part of the "Share. Program. No kidding! I'm really not a coffee. Here are some product specs: This particular model. Retails for $69.99. Although I did find one bag of ...

What a surprise when Ben brought a friend home for supper. Sunday: Ben's folks came to dinner. I wanted to serve roast. All I could find was hamburger. Suddenly ...This has ...

My thoughts and my ideas silly as they might be sewn together in "My Patchwork Quilt". Friday, May 9, 2008. For a little bambino. An old dear friend is having a baby soon and I had wanted to make the baby a little quilt or something really crafty but then we got really busy with trying to sell the house so that was put on the back burner. It's a silhouette of a wiener dog.and the body of the dog wraps around the side of the onesie to the back. I hope the baby loves them! Jonah and Jackson's Mom.

Sunday, May 20, 2007. Trouble on the Tandem. What could be better than a bike ride on a perfect afternoon? Well, having a bike wreck on a tandem bike could certainly make it better! Enjoy these images of Chinami and myself testing out a tandem bike. It's true that I had a wreck - however we were not able catch it LIVE on camera (the paparazzi weren't follwoing me around that day.). Below you will find a reenactment miraculously similar to the real deal! Posted by Amy @ 7:45 PM. We had a chance to catch up.

We love the table that we found - it is such an improvement from the one we had before. We are kind of outgrowing our current apartment, but like Ben said, it feels cozy (and totally cluttered! We have a lot of stuff! We'll keep you updated! Thanks for checking in! Posted by Amy @ 10:07 PM. Posted by Amy @ 10:04 PM. Posted by Amy @ 9:39 PM.

A Year on the Farm

A Year on the Farm. In May of 2010 my father died leaving my mother alone on a large farm in southern Ohio. Debbie and I felt it would be good for all to support mom in dad's absence. So we left our home and church in Bellevue to abide with her for a year. This is the intermittent record of that year. Friday, September 21, 2012. Closing this blog down. I will probably get motivated one of these days and start a blog associated with my pastorate at Avon Lake Presbyterian Church. But not today!
