Author - Editor - Translator. Compiling The Big Book of Swashbuckling Adventure. I’ve been reading and collecting swashbuckling adventure fiction for many years my whole life, really. A couple years ago, while in the middle of a long (and still uncompleted) translation project, it occurred to me that I probably knew enough about the subject to be able to compile a pretty interesting anthology. The more I thought about the idea, the better I liked it, so I sat down and starting making notes.

Thursday, 4 October 2012. I whip my WEAVE back and forth. So even though this is from the summer, I am posting it anyway to procrastinate doing homework. Learning to weave is difficult and time intensive, but once you get the loom set up it is actually pretty relaxing and fruitful (you get something really nice for the work you put into it). First we had to figure out what kind of vertical pattern we wanted to make. I was going for plaid? And of course here they are! Self and Food Preservation Part II.

Pirate Book Study Group. Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Have you ever play Bananagrams? I love it. I like it more than Scrabble or Words with Friends because you create your own game board. I recently learned about their contest. I am so excited that I just registered my school to take the Bananagrams Challenge! I hope many of you in RI, MA, and CT will join us in competing in this amazing event! Sign up at their website: https:/ bananagramschallenge.com/. Monday, September 29, 2014. Diary of a Swashbuckling Journalist
Diary of a Swashbuckling Journalist. Thursday, August 5, 2010. While researching polling numbers yesterday, I discovered that one of my recent stories. Had made it to the website of one of my most relied upon sources - the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life. Does that mean I've made it? Meanwhile, the reporting continues on Latinos and faith. My first material from the New Mexico trip went up. This morning, and a few days earlier I wrote a quick story. Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Tuesday, July 27, 2010.
