http://notesandscones.blogspot.com/2010/06/bay-area.html
Ramblings on food, wine, music and travel. Saturday, June 26, 2010. Another perfect culinary trip to the promised land of food, The Bay Area! In Calistoga, pastrybag and I managed to take in several superb restaurants, in the meanwhile eating enough for a week. Seemed in order. The espresso, pulled from the hand pull machine was rich, creamy and aromatic. At the newcomer Frances. Frances is a superb neighborhoo...

Adventures in procrastinating, the old-fashioned way. Dangerous/Painful Potato Turnip Croquettes. Adapted from a recipe for potato-turnip latkes. Which was much less of a pain in the ass and just about as tasty. When I made the latkes, the fat was not quite hot enough so they had a tendency to sog. I had an amazing croquette experience at Tacubaya. If you've never cooked with duck fat before: what the hell are you waiting for? Dangerous/Painful Potato Turnip Croquettes. 4 medium russet potatoes. This is ...

Wednesday, March 26, 2014. This treadmill interval workout has been my jam lately. Thanks to FitSugar. For this article on Barry's Bootcamp. Try it - you'll like it. Be sure to max out when it gives you a range of speed (if you can) and hold onto the sides if you feel like your feet might slip out from under you. I usually tack on another minute at the end to make it a nice, even 35 minutes. I am my father's daughter. Links to this post. Monday, March 24, 2014. New swan stone (neuschwanstein). Wednesday,...

Our, as yet unnamed (but we’re working on it), baby #2:. April 29, 2009 at 9:42 pm. To Do List — Updated. Check out Mark’s alma mater. Go to...

Archive for March, 2009. I’ve been so busy anticipating this upcoming trip to the States that I haven’t bothered figuring out exactly what we’re going to do while we’re there.
