Curiouser and Curiouser

Friday, January 13, 2012. Why am I so fascinated with group work? Found this write up in Wikipedia that made me see clearly why I enjoy group coaching so much. The recognition of shared experiences and feelings among group members and that these may be widespread or universal human concerns, serves to remove a group member's sense of isolation, validate their experiences, and raise self-esteem. Members often report that it has been very helpful to learn factual information from other members in the group.

Curiouser and Curiouser: Two-chair work in coaching

http://www.tales-from-alice.blogspot.com/2011/12/two-chair-work-in-coaching.html

Friday, December 30, 2011. Two-chair work in coaching. Two-chair is a very powerful work that many schools of psychotherapy have borrowed from Gestalt therapy and psychodrama. In therapy, two chair work takes a person into the past to resolve unfinished issues. It could however, be very effectively adapted for coaching. June 19, 2016 at 12:23 AM. Curiouser and Curiouser: April 2010

http://www.tales-from-alice.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 28, 2010. A story of personal empowerment. As I did the second day of assertiveness training in an organisation, I saw one girl visibly agitated in the class. She was frowning as she listened with concentration. Why was she looking so defiant? I did not have to struggle to find that out. She cornered me at lunch time, dragged me back to the classroom and burst out, “You said it was OK to say no! Taken aback for a minute, I asked, “Would you rather have said yes? What can you guarantee?

Tales From a Geek Girl. List of Published Articles. Disclosure and Privacy Policy. Tuesday, February 1, 2011. My goal for January was to average .10 a day from passive income streams, and I did that. I actually averaged .14 a day, which yes, is a very small step, but for the number of articles I have out there is not that bad, especially since most of that was from Associated Content. So, my next goal? Saturday, January 22, 2011. Poking my head back in. Again. I have been neglecting this blog, haven't I?

Tales from a Pale Blue Dot

Just relax and let the awesome flow. Wednesday, August 12, 2015. The de-commissioned Fog Alarm Building. Above sits at the far end of Saturna Island overlooking East Point. Despite the fact that East Point is supposed to be one of the prime locations for sighting orcas in the Gulf Island I have yet to seen them after three visits to the site. However, I was lucky enough to see porpoises and some lounging sea lions (below) - probably the reason for frequent orca visits - on a nearby rock.
