Wednesday, April 24, 2013. When the talented folks at Guelph School of Art presented their class outline to us, they ensured art history was one of the key learning components. Each class would first learn about one of the masters, and their techniques would then be applied as the students created their very own masterpiece. Here you can see a photo of my little guy, Ben, working away on his painting while Kaili Elmhurst illustrates Kandinsky's technique to the students at Victory Public School.

The many painters, illustrators, musicians, designers, writers, filmmakers, chefs and photographers that surround us are the very 'creative class' that other cities crave. The Guelph Arts Council. Greeted me with some exciting news: Renann Isaacs, respected art consultant and former curator of the Alma Gallery. Appears to be a opening new gallery in downtown Guelph. The list of artists represented has me all aflutter and I can't wait to get my little self inside those doors. Thank you, Renann!
