All in all it might be meaningfull to get a bit of rest now after this intensive summer bringing TP and Jensen across the ocean and through the NWP. It has taken its toll on all of us, and as we are a small working group we do feel like charging our batteries and gain new energy and motivation for next year big challenge. 20 July 2014 » Uncategorized. Tug Tandberg Polar and barge Jensen has now settled in for a little wait up the coast of Greenland, more precise in Aasiaat inside Disco island. From here we will have about 10 days of effective sailing into Cambridge Bay but most likely we will have to move slow and possibly pretty much also in ziczag among the melting driftice. Stig and Eirik prepare ropes for arrival Aasiaat. TP and Jensen rest in Aasiaat harbour after some days of quiet sailing up the coast of Greenland.

The ice seem to evaporate more than melt and Maud will soon be free from the ice again.
