a little lime: November 2014

Breaking out the Moleskine. The sudden rush of activity? All due to the fact that we had a bit of a cold week - and me, being the fair-weather gardener that I am, spent most of my time indoors drawing and reading. The sun is shining again and hay carting is about to begin.so. Anyway, this week I cracked open one of my moleskine folios. It's been ages since I've done a bit of random doodling, so I guess it was time. Here's my second 3.5 inch challenge square for the FB Group: Square One Zentangle. He was ...

Zentangle on Glass Plates. Artist Trading Cards (ATC's). Saturday, March 26, 2016. Playing.practice, practice, practice. Whichever way you want to look at it, it is still great fun! These are little 4 x 6 cards so if one turns out really bad I can just toss it. Loved how this one turned out, using the edge of a credit card to manipulate the inks. With this one I waited till the inks were almost dry to drag the card through in a zigzag pattern. I love the results.will do this again! Links to this post.

Tangle Street Studio: January 2015
http://tanglestreet.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
A journey down Tangle Street, learning as we go and sharing the joy of Zentangle! Monday, January 26, 2015. Zentangle Chebucto and Copada, Rixty and an Inchie. This week's Challenge from the Diva Challenge. Was to use Margaret Bremner's tangles Chebucto and Copada as a duotangle. Easier said than done! It took me three tiles because each time, I found myself adding different tangles inside the empty spaces NO, NO, not a duotangle anymore. Sigh. I will continue with those later though :). For the new tang...

Tangle Street Studio: Zentangle® and the Windmills of My Mind
http://tanglestreet.blogspot.com/2015/07/zentangle-and-windmills-of-my-mind.html
A journey down Tangle Street, learning as we go and sharing the joy of Zentangle! Monday, July 20, 2015. Zentangle and the Windmills of My Mind. Over at the Diva Challenge. The guest post comes from CZT Lee Darter. She suggested a theme of Circul Life with tangles of Cack, Tropicana, and either Florz, LinQ, or Fescu for the third ring of the three ring circul. I chose LinQ and let the swirlies migrate to the other tangles as well. Facebook, had us reviewing Hollibaugh, to which I added Xircus. You integr...

Zentangle on Glass Plates. Artist Trading Cards (ATC's). Saturday, June 04, 2016. To find more glass that I just know is hiding up there. Finally got a cloudy day that meant the temperature would be bearable up there. And yes, there were goodies worth claiming for my glass totems. A clear glass swan was perfect for a smaller clear sparkly totem. Some folks just don't have room for a huge one, and this is actually small enough to enjoy inside the house! She is about to pour herself a nice cuppa!

Creative pursuits involving Zentangle . . . welcome! Visit www.zentangle.com to learn more. Monday, August 18, 2014. Here's one of my latest tiles. It is inspired not just by Diva Challenge #180, "UMT - MacDee by Anneke Van Dam". But also by one of my favorite Zentangle groups on Facebook: Square One: Purely Zentangle. This new group, established by two CZTs, is devoted to the original format brought to us by Zentangle. The 35-inch square tile, tangled with black ink and shaded with a graphite pencil.

Creative pursuits involving Zentangle . . . welcome! Visit www.zentangle.com to learn more. Sunday, January 20, 2013. C-Gal doesn't usually take on the Diva's challenges, but she was inspired by this one, and has been enjoying the luxury of a long weekend (made extra-long by the snow day we had Friday- a rare event for us! I especially love how her bunzo stripes bounce back and forth in a continuous path.something I didn't even realize 'til I had scanned the image and placed it in this post! I simply did...
